Lasagna alla Bolognese - traditional preparation with Emilia-Romagna beef sauce, bechamel and parmesan

"DS got the lasagna and DD got the spaghetti. We all loved our food and the service was superb!" :thumbsup2

And Amy's last update is a snack update.

Amy said, "We used snack credits for the following:"

    Funnel Cake

Make your own Rice Krispie - dipped in white chocolate rolled in butterfinger and drizzled with milk chocolate
    Fudge
    Chocolate shakes
    Root Beer Float
    Fruit cup
    Frozen Slushie
    Caramel Popcorn
    Chocolate Caramel Cookie
    Giant Caramel pecan cluster
    Cotton Candy
    bags of Gummy worms
    bag of rock candy suckers

    And last of all...

    Carrot cake cookie

"I just didn't like it. Sorry, I know a lot of people do."

"And sorry I only have one snack photo but I also had to share a picture of Carly with her favorite Princess."

"This is the last of my updates. Next time I will try to do better with all the pics!"

"DSis and I both started with the Onion Soup."

"I had the Cornish hen, but substituted fries."

    "DSis had the steak."

    "We started with frozen cappuccinos."

Vanilla-laced French Toast - Brioche Bread dipped in our Vanilla flavored Batter with Bacon or Sausage

"I had the French toast with bacon and DSis had the same but with sausage."

We've received an update from Incredibleboysmom.

Yesterday her family had lunch at Epcot's...

    First some menu pics...

    Baguette with butter

    French Onion Soup

    Lobster Bisque

Crepe Florentine - large crepe filled with chicken, spinach, mushrooms and bechamel sauce

"An unattractive view of the inside."

"So I know this sounds profound, but this was a very heavy meal. The crepe reminded me of a flat chicken pot pie.
It was very tasty and very, very filling."

Quiche Lorraine - ham and cheese quiche

"DH loved the quiche but I thought it had too much nutmeg. The salad was nice but would have been nicer with more "stuff" in it, veggies, croutons, anything."

    Gratin de macaroni

"The kids loved the macaroni. The little guys shared an adult order, as it is not on the kid's menu."

    And for their desserts...

    Biscuit au chocolat

    "We had 3 of these."

Profiteroles au chocolat - Puff choux with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce

    Vanilla Creme Brulee

"The desserts were forgettable. The cookies were probably the best.
We went back to the bakery later in the day to get more!"

"All in all this was an average meal. DH commented that the wait staff didn't look happy, we never saw a smile.
Remy only did a quick drive by our table, I'm glad that I didn't tell the boys about it ahead of time."

That's because they're French. Sorry you weren't too happy with your experience at Chef's. The wait staff there aren't the friendliest for sure, but I think it adds to the experience of it all. The French aren't exactly known for their customer service. I'm sure it reflects in their tips.

Our First Update of the Day today was sent to us by Diane (pinkxray).

She said, "Today we had breakfast at...

    Roaring Forks

    First some menu pics...

    "Jen had the breakfast sandwich..."

Breakfast Croissant with bacon, egg, and cheese, served with potatoes

"I got the chocolate lovers waffles (kids size, which comes with two instead of three waffles)..."

    Chocolate Lovers Waffles & Bacon
Mickey waffles with chocolate chips, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce

"I also got the Bounty Platter with an extra pancake in place of the biscuit. DD got the pancakes and bacon while I wanted the potatoes and eggs."

Bounty Platter with scrambled eggs, pancakes, potatoes, bacon, and sausage

Diane said, "It might sound I ridiculous but this was my favorite breakfast all week. The waffles were awesome and I prefer shredded potatoes over the cubes or wedges other places serve."

Next we received these Animal Kingdom updates from DaisyluvzGoofy.

She said, "Sorry for the late postings. We've been exhausted and took advantage of all the time in the park we could get!"

    "Thursday AM was breakfast at..."

    Tusker House

"First photo was mine: I wasn't feeling so great so I didn't eat much. My favorite item were the blintzes. I wish they had a little more crisp to them but they had a great sweet flavor to the cream filling. I was also a fan of their breakfast juice.
    Quite unique!!"

"DH's plate is the second, with the donuts. He said he had been craving some so this served it purpose.
He also liked the sausage patties instead of links."

"Overall this served the purpose of getting us close to the safari for park opening and we had a great time on that!"

    Dino Bite Snacks

"We had this snack from "Dino-Bites" next to Restaurantosaurus. It was cheaper than the cone and had more ice cream.
The cookies were soft and full of chocolate. I would certainly get this again!" :thumbsup2

    Pretzel & Lemonade Stand

    Frozen Mango Rum Lemonade

    A menu pic...

"I had a "Lost on safari" at the bar outside of Tusker House but forgot to take a photo. It was pretty strong and a great value for the money. As we were walking towards our fastpasses for Everest we noticed one of the snack stands had a Frozen Mango Rum Lemonade, sounded good so I thought I'd give it a try. It was Awesome!!! It was much more mango than lemonade. Was not bitter but packed a punch!!!"

"We rode Everest and decided to get out of AK before the parade started and head back into MK for a few rides we missed because of the crowds early in the week."

"So we left AK and headed over to find a fairly deserted MK. Sweet! We snacked on a BBQ Flatbread from..."

    Pinocchio Village Haus

    Barbecue Chicken Flatbread

"It was pretty good, but needed more BBQ sauce. Luckily they have that at their toppings bar!"

    And some menu pics...

One more update was received from DaisyluvzGoofy today.

She said, "We hit up a bunch of rides, then headed for the boat to the...

    Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

"I have to admit, the food and drink sucked me in, and I forgot to take pictures. We finally experienced some Disney Magic on this reservation! We paid for Cat. 3 seats, and were seated on the floor in the middle of the room! Best seats! They even picked on my dad during the opening number. It was too cute! He was such a good sport! We originally planned this to be just a DH and I reservation, but my parents showed interest in going so we added them on. Good thing for DH, because he very much hates audience participation, and I've got a good feeling DH would have been picked on in that opening number instead of dad!"

"For our review of the food: Chicken was a bit dry for our tastes, but adding the extra BBQ sauce at the bottom of the ribs pail helped a lot! The ribs were excellent! Fall off the bone and sweet! The corn bread and the strawberry shortcake were our favorite overall items. Dad and I had the sangria, which wasn't too bitter or too sweet, but fairly potent."
