Just got Back

Just got back from a short trip this weekend. Had a great time with a few thousand of my closest friends. It was a bit crowded this holiday weekend, we still had a great time, FP times were being enforced on some rides on the 17th.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn for the first time. Nice place, close enough walk, walls a bit thin though. We could hear the pool crowd and crying babies the whole weekend.

I was really surprised at how many meltdowns we witnessed this weekend, both kids and adults. It was busy and warm, wearing people down, but a little civility goes a long way.

Really missed BTMRR, huge crane is really odd to see in the middle of the land.

Witnessed some great interactions with CMs and guests, good times. As usual, crowds were tolerable in the morning and quite intense by noon. We didn’t have any MM as we were there for only the weekend, touring college campuses on Friday. I think my daughter will probably be going to Long Beach, so close to DL, whoot. She is already talking about the college program for DL.

I’ll do a proper trip report in a few days after I process some pictures.

Thank you so much for posting the balloon. We got there too late and it was already gone. I was very upset that I missed it. I was hoping someone was there to take photos and post them. Thx U! :thumbsup2

Looking forward to reading your trip report! If you end up posting it on the trip report side of the boards, let us know, as I don't venture there very often :D

I enjoyed your trip report.

Your pictures are wonderful ! ! !

Can you tell me what camera you use ?

I just got a Canon 7D about a week before this trip. I had a 40D for about five years, so fortunately the controls were very similar. I was a bit disappointed with the dark ride shots, I think I pumped the ISO too much hoping the noise reduction would have taken care of things. Even with a better camera, ISO above 3200 still creates a bit of noise in the pictures. I have a lot more to process though, so hopefully a few on the last day came out better.

Sounds like a great time. YAY!

CSULB is a good school. And, yes, it is a very spread out campus, but the beach is not too far that way, DL not to far this way, and lots of great stuff all around. Oh yes, and a good education too. :)

Thanks for sharing your pics.
