Kelly and Michael

We were there for Mondays 2nd show which aired today. When Kelly did the test track segment, her family came out of GF to get into a car so I'm assuming they stayed there.

We got Kelly's autograph on Monday by the way!!!! She was sooooo sweet and nice when we were able to talk for a second and say hi.

i really wish they'd show a little more of WDW. Howie Mandel's bit today was a complete waste of time. and i found his Crystal Palace joke a little inappropriate considering the family had two children right there. yes, some of it may have gone over their heads, but still. :worried:

i don't need it to be a Disney commercial, but seeing a little more of the parks would be nice.

I found that absolutely hilarious! I loved all of his bits, but that was my favorite.

I saw today's show. Why is Mark in a scooter? At first I thought it was just an act for the Test Track thing, but later in the video he was still on it. I guess it was not just for the video. Does anyone know if he is hurt?
I do not watch the show regularly. I am recording and trying to watch this week since they are in WDW.

I thought Howie was hilarious! I love the guests that obviosuly had no prior knowledge beforehand. Where is Mickey's house? Picture of the Magic Castle! LOL

I thought the other things he did were funny, but I did think the Crystal Palace one was really tasteless and inappropriate.

I thought the segment on test track was stupid.

Could the oldest kid look anymore bored?

the oldest boy is at the age that he wants nothing to do with his parents much less his famous parents. I think he should get a pass for looking bored.

I thought the show was "live". Are all the segments pre taped?

The segments when they are traveling around parts of Disney are...imagine the logistics if they tried to do that live....

My son is the same age as Michael. (14 ) sorry don't buy it.
His scowl made the whole segment look stupid. At least try and crack a smile for goodness sake.
Then Kelly tried to make excuses for him after the segment was over. " He was cracking up after it was all over. He was just trying to look cool" Really???? Could have fooled me.

How old is Nicole and Eddie Murphy's daughter? In the segment with Michael and the other 3 girls, she looked like she was having a fun time,

I'm here now. That show is really messing up Magic Kingdom. Town Square is full of stage junk. Obstructs an otherwise beautiful view. And the crowds are ridiculous. It's even worse than the year I came for the December and she was filming the Christmas parade. I wish I'd gotten a memo they'd be here. Then I'd plan to stay away.

Trust me. You guys are not missing much.

I'm sorry but your son isn't trying to navigate this preteen and teen years with cameras following you and your parents discussing your life on TV. Some kids do better with attention then others. He has made it clear to his parents for many years that he doesn't like the attention. They could have easily not had him in many shots that is an editing issue. He still gets a break from me. Being in the limelight is very tough on some of the kids of famous parents.

Then we'll agree to disagree.
He looked miserable . Like he wanted to be anywhere else but where he was. From what you say, that may be correct.
Then leave the kid out of the segment or leave him back in NY.

He ruined the segment in my opinion. It was supposed to be about a fun family time on test track. For Michael, it looked like it was anything but that.

I understand he was born into his fame with no say so in it, but he also benefits greatly from it.
Also, it's not like he is a mega stars kid. I barely see any of Kelly , Mark or their kids pictures in any tabloid or magazine.

Could also be she is definetly not one of my favorite people either.

while i think Michael looked pretty miserable, i can also see how having your mom talk about your private life on television every day could be annoying. i mean, Kelly has no filter and has been over-sharing since she started with Regis. she calls Michael "he who shall not be named," which leads me to believe that he is OVER his mom sharing everything about him.

i did tell my kids they'd better not act like that or i'll leave them home. but i don't broadcast their lives on national television either. ;)

i thought Michael Strahan seemed very sweet to both his and Nicole's daughters. and they were also very polite girls.

True he did not ask to be be in their. He was probably hoping they would not air it.

Agreed.

But like I stated earlier. It could have been edited to show very little of him. Kelly and Michael producers chose not to...he did look miserable and I'm sure it was mostly intentional. But he is a teen that is in the limelight and doesn't what to be there.

I totally buy it. I think it just depends on the kid. My ds is only 11, and most times he feels the same way. I was the same way when I was 10-17ish lol...and that was with non-famous parents, so I can only imagine. The good news is that I did grow out of it, and I certainly hope my ds will too, just as I'm sure Kelly's son will. I think all kids are different; my sister wasn't like that at all, but like I said, I totally was...and probably worse. I really don't see it as a big deal.

The younger son looked unhappy during the Test Track ride too but I think that he might have been scared. He was all smiles once it was over.

I will also give the older boy a pass. He probably was miserable as kids his age so often are.

I agree that Joachim looked scared. He was holding his parents hands I believe.

Re Michael. My first reaction was how his attitude was pretty poor. I thought he could have tried to have better body language and facial expression. Then I remembered his age. I couldn't stop focusing on him throughout the segment. I had expectations for my sons on proper behavior in public situations. Perhaps he wasn't coached beforehand on at least trying to look like he was enjoying the moment rather than looking disdainful throughout. He had a glimmer of a smile at the end of TT.
