Best time to get in line-BOG lunch

I apologize if this has already been addressed. I was wondering what would be a good time to get in line for lunch at Be Our Guest. It will be HOT when we are there (end of June) and, while I don't expect to just stroll right in, I'm trying to minimize whining in the heat/humidity. Thanks!

As always, always try to go either early or late. We did rope drop over Christmas and had a light breakfast and hit BOG around 11. If you sleep in, then try to hit it around 2:00-2:30.

I've been reading that the line forms around 10 and they start letting people in to order at 10:30, and everything I've read so far says that's the best way to do it because for the rest of the lunch period the line is longer than that half-hour to get in. We're skipping it next month because of that; there's no way I'm waiting a half-hour just to get in, then waiting again to order and again for our food. If I want to spend 1.5 hours or more on a meal I'll spend it being waited on at The Plaza or Liberty Tree Tavern!

Maybe by June some of the "new" will have worn off and it won't be quite so crazy to try to have lunch there. I'm hoping that is the case by my Dec trip because I would like to try it, but not under the current crowd/wait time conditions I've been reading in recent reports.

For the record, the whole process goes very quickly during lunch once you get in. You order at kiosks, find your seat and the food is brought directly to your table. The wait is quite minimal once you get to the main doors. If its 30 minutes to get in, the wait is pretty much over at that point.

Its worth the wait! Once inside the time between ordering and eating should not be more then 15 mins.

We actually had the opposite experience. We went for a late lunch around 2 and didn't have to wait in much of a line but once we were inside, it got longer b/c the person in front of us at the kiosk had problems, then we had a problem and had to transfer to an order taker. That's hopefully not the norm, but it can happen that your wait once you get past the greeter is longer than the line itself. Still, not that bad considering it's a brand new restaurant. Dinner was much better though.

We were there earlier this month, and I held our place in line starting at 9:45. Everyone else joined me right before opening (10:30) and we got in with no additional wait, except for a very brief one in front of the suits or armor.

Found it to be quite the opposite.

We were there last month on the day before MLK day - a 7 on the crowd calendar (but more like an 8!). Went there for lunch at 12:15-ish - the line was over the bridge and halfway to Gaston's fountain. CM's were telling everyone a 90 minute wait from that point but we knew better - got in line when everyone else got scared off.

We were ordering about 25 minutes later.

It shouldn't be an issue here. Since everyone in your party orders at the same kiosk and is seated together, it's not a big deal if 4 more people join the person in line in front of you. Sure, you have to make room for them...but it's not going to increase your wait time at all.

Not a big deal or issue to me, but for many it is. I guess you could use the same argument for an attraction that seats four to a car. One holds the place and then three join up later in line.
