Recent experiences with DVC wifi?

I haven't read any threads lately complaining about poor wifi service at DVC resorts. We will be at Kidani soon and my wifi there last May was pretty awful. Has the wifi in DVC rooms improved recently or have folks just not been reporting poor wifi service?

I am actually sitting at BWV on my iPad and the service has been fine, much better than the BCV in September. Maybe they have fixed it???

Enjoy your trip!

Still bad. I was at BLT Feb 1 to 11. System was fine if you used it between midnight and 5 a.m. or around noon to two which of course most don't and likely the reason it was fine. During morning and then afternoon through evening after 4 it was at its worst, often stopped working while you were in the middle of something and slowing to snail speed many times. Disney, don't you know? Marriott, Four Seasons, Hilton, Sheraton, Embassy Suites, and even Holiday and Comfort Inns are all way better than this. (Yes, as before I have already emailed my complaint and they have yet to listen thus far)

I have had similar problems at some of the hotels you mention above. Wifi is based off of number of users connecting to each access point and what type of traffic they are transmitting. did you know that Disney has one of the highest occupancy rates of all hotels? It would make sense that they have more devices connecting at one time. Can they fix it? Yes, charge for access. Hopefully they do so less people will be on it.

also, to answer the original question. we were at Kidani in December and wifi worked great the entire trip. I was actually suprised.

We were at BCV last week of December and could not connect at all in our villa even after contacting the IT department. We were at OKW first week of January and had occassional WIFI depending on where in the 2BR you were sitting.
The service inside the parks and in public spaces was much better.

My last night stay was at OKW, end of January, I was even able to send pictures without a delay. I thought things were very good. Now, in Vero, that was AWFUL!

I was at OKW two weeks ago and the wifi worked just fine. I was able to upload pictures and use my tablet with no problems. The wifi in the parks was a little slower, but still pretty good.

Last spring my wifi was spotty and slow but last week we had no issues at all at the Jambo house.

I was at BC (hotel, not villas) last week and the service was poor. I could sign in but would lose service after a few minutes then had to turn wifi off then on to rejoin. Really a pain!

Never had an issue at Florida resorts or Aulani but had serious issues at GCV. Called every day for 5 days and was told it would b fixed next day...different problem each time they said.

We had to do the same during our stay at AKL Kidani Village last August.

We were at Kidani first week in December and the WiFi was terrible!! I wish Disney would fix this, it really makes my trips less magical!!!!

I just returned yesterday from the world. I spent a week at Kidani, great time, except.....I would get booted off the WiFi every few minutes.

The second week I stayed at SSR...and did not have any issues with the WiFi there.
