Welcome to the Eastern Caribbean Mouseketeers Meet Thread! We set sail on August 23, 2014 for a glorious seven night cruise to the Eastern Caribbean on the beautiful Disney Fantasy. I am doing the Roll Call and also organizing the FE, so please send me a PM if you'd like to join. For the Roll Call, please let me know who you are sailing with .... and for the children let me know their ages at time of sail.

Well, the rest of 2014 DCL has been released. We are going to keep this cruise. The itinerary of the southern caribbean cruises is what I've been looking for BUT they are mid september thru mid october ... BOOOOOOO ... for us, taking the kids out of school at that time doesn't work. That is also very much when statistically the worst storms rage through the caribbean. Oh well. The prices are good but I guess its for the reasons I just stated.

Two reasonable options for taking a southern caribbean cruise out of San Juan (which is something we would like to do) are: February break (presidents week) on Royal Caribbean or April spring break on Celebrity. Summer is off season for Caribbean for everyone except DCL and they pull ships out of there. I don't know if Carnival sails there in summer but I won't even look at that, especially now.

Sadly, 2014 DCL Med prices are even more outrageous than this year.

I booked this a while ago (shortly after opening day), but i've just been lurking. I was sort of hoping they would be running a ship out of NYC in 2014, so I could switch my booking, but that didn't happen so now i'm sticking with this one.

We are Karl_NJ (Karl), DW (Kari), DS (9), DD (5).

This will be our 2nd cruise on DCL; we were on the Disney Dream in August 2012. We've also sailed as a family on Carnival (2x) and Cunard (3x) (what a combination, huh?), and will be trying Celebrity (to Bermuda) in August of this year. We bring our kids on all of our long cruises, but from time to time my wife and I do go on silly little 1 or 2 night cruise-to-nowhere's out of NYC on Norwegian.

All of our cruises (as a family) have been out of NYC, except for DCL. Disney is the only line that we are willing to fly for At least it gives us an excuse to visit WDW again, since we will be down in the Orlando area anyway...

I've never been to Saint Maarten, so i'm looking forward to visiting that port.

I don't think we'll be participating in the FE exchange.

I was feeling a bit reminiscent about last summer's cruise and felt the need to pay a visit to the DIS boards. Was pleasantly surprised to discover that a cruise meet thread had been started for the August 23, 2014 Eastern. (Thank you!)

Would love to be added to the role call. I will be traveling with my DH and DS (who will be 12... and celebrating his 13th on our CC day).

This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise. The first one was a 5 night Wonder in August 2010. Our most recent was a Fantasy Western Caribbean (August 18, 2012). We had a great trip and I especially enjoyed the DIS Meet and seeing so many familiar faces around the ship during our wonderful week.

We re-booked with a dummy date on board last August.... so glad for the discounts and room credits!

On our cruise last August, the Navigators showed scheduled meet ups for the 18 - 20 year old group. Not the same as the awesome teen club, but at the least, your daughter can enjoy the adult areas, spa and fitness room.
