I have never heard of someone not signing a card.
I haven't heard of that either , but my parents do something silly and fun . They reuse cards.. not a frugal thing , but my Mom and Dad get a kick out of re reading the little notes they wrote for each other in the early years of their relationship. Mom dated all the cards on the back and kept them... I think it is kinda sweet.
I got lots of sweet treats, flowers and balloons . We usually do more , DH normally gives me valentine PJS and massage , but we are off to WDW soon and we bought a piece of art recently , so we kept Valentines low key this year. I normally buy him something on his wish list from Bass Pro.
I bought DH a cheesecake from Whole foods and cards from kid, pets and a three from me, I found several I thought were hysterical and couldn't pick so bought all three. We don't do mushy cards ... we like the funny stuff, we save the mush for personal notes on it. I keep our cards and date them just like my Mom . Maybe when we hit 40 years we will reuse too lol.
