Does DU offer a different OBC if you transfer a booking vs if you originally book with them? I'm guessing it would be lower if it's a transferred reservation. Anyone know for sure?
 
Yes you still get OBC for transferred reservation, but it is lower than an original booking with them.
 
Due to the changes in the way Disney Cruise Line pays Travel Agencies for transferred versus direct bookings, Dreams Unlimited Travel is currently offering a lower OBC for a transferred reservation versus what you would get by making the original reservation with us.

However, with the recent change to Disney Cruise Line policy that reservations cannot be transferred unless they are booked within the past 30 days we are finding that in some cases we can rebook a reservation for the same price and still get our clients the full OBC we are offering.

Thanks for the information John! I have a question along those lines...

We booked yesterday the 12-night med, but we are going on the Fantasy March 9th. I'm hoping we can save some money with the 10% onboard booking discount (as long as the price hasn't gone up).

If we do that and get hte DCL OBB credit, can we still transfer to DU and get some credit as well?

When you rebook onboard simply let the rebooking agent onboard know you want to use Dreams Unlimited Travel for your future cruise booking.

If you don't go to the desk and just submit the form there is a place to indicate you want to work with a travel agency - check that box and write in Dreams Unlimited Travel.

Disney Cruise Line is supposed to contact us shortly after your cruise ends with the details of your booking. That doesn't always happen so to make sure we now about your booking and we can get it into our system I would suggest sending an email to DCL.Reservations@DreamsUnlimitedTravel.com when you get home with your new cruise reservation ID number. We will then get all the info from DCL, get it entered into our system and assign it to one of our cruise specialists.

PS If they ask for the name of a specific agent at DU you can give them mine (I'm the only John here BTW) - it doesn't really matter as you will get an agent assigned once you return from your cruise.
