Hey guys

Just wondered whether anyone had recently enjoyed a CS meal @ Hollywood Studios?

We always seem to struggle in this park?

We went in Sept and I really enjoyed the asian noodle salad from the ABC Commissionary. It had the most wonderful dressing on it and you can have it as a vege option or with Chicken..totally yummy. It actually stands out as one of the nicest salads I've had in a long time.

Its def not a great park for CS but there are some hidden gems..:)

Another thumbs up for ABC commissary. THey had some nice different dishes. I had grilled salmon with cous cous (I think it came with cous cous) and it was amazing. There was plenty seating and it was very clean and service was quick. I forget what DD ordered but she also really enjoyed her meal and I made a note to self that I would go back there again!

Starrin Rolls also has a lovely menu but you really want to get in there before lunch time as not only does it get crowded but they do sell out and they just close when the most of their goods are sold rather than waiting for an official closing time.

The last two years have been a vast improvement on previously, where we actually used to leave the park to go eat!

We have enjoyed CS from 4 DHS locations....

1. Starring Rolls
2. ABC Commissary
3. Pizza Planet
4. Fairfax Fare

We always used to use Backlot Express (near Indianna Jones show arena) but their menu has changed for this year & it doesn't appeal. Shame because it had a nice quiet outdoor seating area - sure most people didn't realise it was there. Different 'stalls' at Fairfax Fare look most favourable for this year but it always seems really busy on that stretch - like you, we struggling too at DHS.

I had no idea you could get this as veggie with no chicken...
These places need to advertise this more! There are so many places I haven't been because there isn't a veggie option on the menu...
That's one for next time then! :thumbsup2

I'm not a veggie because I do eat fish but I don't eat meat at all. I never look specifically for veggie options at WDW CS restaurants - I just ask them to leave off whatever it is that I don't eat and have never had an issue. So if it's a chicken salad, I order the salad without chicken. You can ask them to substitute some cheese or extra greens if you prefer. Otherwise I just order the chicken separately and DD eats it :) so that's also an option to keep in mind for future reference :thumbsup2

At DHS, we tend to eat at either Starring Rolls or Rosie's All American Cafe. Last time we were there, one of the kids had a pizza from Catalina Eddie's and really enjoyed it (although I was convinced it looked like standard CS pizza).

Thank you for the veggie tips! :thumbsup2 No doubt it will all have changed again by the time I go back in 2015 :rotfl2:
