Which airline do you use to fly to Vancouver. We use southwest all the time, but will need to switch airlines since they don't go to Vancouver.

You may want to consider flying into Seattle and taking the bus to Vancouver. This is what I did in 2011 because it was A LOT cheaper. Chicago to Vancouver direct was about double the price of Chicago to Seattle direct. Busses leave the Seattle airport about every 30 minutes and you get dropped off at your hotel in Vancouver. Very comfortable coach with wi-fi.

if you can do it that way, you will save a mint, the taxes here are crazy for air travel

We flew Southwest into and out of Seattle and did one-way rentals to Vancouver. The airfare was at least half of the cost to fly directly to Vancouver. The drive was about three hours each way and was easy as can be. :)

How much is the bus ride?

We flew from NC to Vancouver on US Air. It was the same number of miles to Seattle, so that was an easy choice for us. :)

This is great to know. Do you have any contact info for the bus? Also, how does it work coming back into Seattle?

Thanks

How about Amtrak? I understand the Amtrak fare is very reasonable. I wonder where the Amtrak stations in Seattle and Vancouver are? I bet the coach from Seattle's airport to Vancouver is more conveniant.

We are looking at a 2014 DCL Alaska cruise. We have time to plan.

OOO good thinking! I have family in Olympia I could visit for a bit before or after. I think we are doing Alaska in 2014! Car or bus across the border is something to think about.

its VIARail in canada the station in vancouver its about 2.5km away from Canada Place where the port is

I am on SW to Seattle and over night and then get a early train ride to Canada coach is $29 business I think about $60 Going back I will take the bus . For me from florida it was close to $900 on delta to Vancouver verses $10 on SW. So I fly free.
