I purchased a bunch of disney gift cards- 10, I can put those on my on board credit at guest services, right? thank You!

You can also call and have them preloaded on to your account. I've started doing that so I don't have to go to Guest Services and so I don't have to take the cards with me.

Can you use the gift cards onboard? Like in the gift shop or arcade? My kids have gift cards given to them as gifts from the grandparents and want to use them.

The only problem with that is if there is any leftover credit from the cards on your onboard account :rotfl:.

They need the original card to charge the credit back.

Can you do this on your own if you booked through a TA? THANKS!

I believe you can use them in the gift shops onboard. AFAIK, the arcade cards are purchased with your KTTW cards.

how do I pre load? Stuck at home tomorrow for another snow day so I have time!

Just call DCL or your TA with your card numbers and amounts.

It is done electronically, so you don't need the cards with you. You do need the cards after it is done, so don't toss until you know there is no refund to them, but you don't need them on the ship if you load them as OBC before.

Do I understand this correctly....use the Disney visa at Target to purchase Disney gift cards (and earn 5%). Then give TA the card info and have them load the cards to your OBC? And could this $$$ be loaded (transferred?) to your WDW account (land portion) during a land/sea vacation?

Have you been able to get a sheet faxed to you stating the amount of OBC you put on yourself? I have this fear that I'm going to not bring the cards and they'll have no record of it...

I have to be honest, the first time I did this, I did take the cards with me just in case. Now, I add them and then call a day or two later to ask how much obc I have. It hasn't ever been a problem. Hope this helps.

Haven't read through, but don't do too many at once. Use as many as you know you'll go through, monetarily. You can stop by and add more if you reach that amount sooner than expected, but I don't think that crediting them is easy (if possible) should you not go through it all.
