Any difference/preference between these two? Never used either but will be using one of them this summer. If there is (I'm sure there is) a thread about this topic sorry but if you could point me in that direction that would be great. TIA:thumbsup2

We used We Go Shop and LOVED them. We used them because they would shop for whatever you want and would go to more than 1 store if needed (might be an extra cost for that...we had her only go to one store). You can specify what store if you want. The Garden Grocer is a set list you order from and the prices of those items are high. We Go Shop delivered to our villa w/in 30 minutes of us checking in...she even put the groceries away for us. It was quick and we were off to the parks. You pay for the grocery bill (and you can specify brands too) and a delivery fee. We also tipped her. Here are some of the delivery fees from their website (they go higher) and they charge a $2 gas surcharge:

Grocery receipt(s) total up to $50.00 = $18.00 shop & delivery service fee
Grocery receipt(s) total between $50.00 - $100.00 = $23.00 shop & delivery service fee
Grocery receipt(s) total between $100.00 - $200.00 = $28.00 shop & delivery service fee

WeGoShop ROCKED for us at BLT! we checked in early (12:45pm) and Patti was there with our groceries not an hour after we checked in at the Contemporary.

We loved it because we could specify what brands we wanted and what quantities. I went to my local grocery store and looked up sizes in ounces for things we wanted and specific qualities of things. (Organic, grass-fed, whole grain, whatever.) Our shopper even got us B1G1 deals (we got two bottles of soda for free and she bought them because it didn't cost us extra). We even chose what store we wanted; we selected Publix. Bell services helped her load everything onto a luggage cart and brought it up to our room. We got a copy of the receipt, which helps us analyze costs. We are extremely satisfied with WeGoShop and would probably still use them for snacks and liquor even if we go down next time on DDP.

Do they have a website? Debating ordering food to keep in the room the next time we go to save on costs

Yeah, this is the only confusing part of WeGoShop. You have to go to the WeGoShop.com website and pick "Florida" and "Disney Area Resorts". There's an email address for Amy, who is the current manager. You write an email with all of the things you want. I made a Google Doc with the brand, quantity and notes for her and then just pasted it in the email. We were trying to cut costs also so I often times wrote "store brand or whatever is cheapest", unless I really wanted a specific brand.

Hey there....
I saw you wrote a similar post re@ wegoshop in another thread. I had responded there, but not sure If you went back to it. Either way, I highly recommend wegoshop. Absolutely worth it. And depending when you are going.... You want to submit order 4-6 weeks ahead.

We have used wegoshop for the last 5 years and have been totally satisfied each time - even when there was an ownership change a few years ago - it was seamless.

We used We Go Shop for the first time in September. They were great. They got everything on our list (particular brands, flavors, etc) and were there right when we checked in.

The fees seem kind of high, but if you are ordering more than a few things you will quickly make up the difference versus the mark up on items from the Disney grocery service or Garden Grocer.

And that's not even taking into account the value of your time while on vacation or the cost of a rental car to get to the store if you weren't already planning to rent one.

If you really want to keep the costs down their website has links to all the area stores. You can click through to them to see their weekly sales flyer and try to plan your meals that way.

I used Garden Grocer. For me, I like looking at the pictures and choosing what I wanted and not having to worry about the size etc. Each time I have used Garden Grocer, everything was perfect.

Our food has always been delivered on time and all the items were correct.

As to the prices, it didn't seem to bad to me.

Ship yourself a box of non-perishables if you have no vehicle to get to a real store. We always drive, so I go to Publix for the perishables I didn't pack with me. which is around what we pay here in CT. I thought the prices for the grocer were outrageous. We have stores with online shopping with delivery around here for much less.
Also, if you're flying on southwest where they don't charge for bags- use any extra space for non-perishables.

We have used Garden Grocer several times and always been 100% satisfied with the service. They even call the next day to make sure we are happy.

Can you purchase beer and wine through wegoshop? :confused3

We also have used Wegoshop for the last 3 years and have been very satisfied. Yes you can purchase beer, wine and I believe even liquor. They
have always delivered within an hour of our check in. One time they almost beat us to Bay Lake Villas. You just call them when you check in and they come with all your groceries.

We fly SW - I wonder if we could pack some beer in dry ice. Wonder if it would be over weight. It's the only thing we need in our room :lmao: that I'm unwilling to purchase at the World.

I have used both and experienced great service both times. I preferred We Go Shop only because it was obvious she tried to get us good deals...we asked for 2 regular size boxes of cereal as an example, and she bought us a giant club pack instead for much cheaper (it was on sale). They did a great job, and I'll be using them again on our next trip for sure!

The only downside was that we did order beer, and our flight was delayed for two hours. I forgot to call her until last minute - right before she did our drop off. It was easy enough to pay by credit card over the phone so she could leave our groceries at Bell Services, but she needed ID for the beer and if we couldn't provide it she would've had to take it back (which would have devastated our friend who we got the beer for - he was REALLY looking forward to drinks on the balcony at night!). We finally got the idea to take a picture of my ID on my smart phone, along with a picture of me proving that it was my ID and that worked. WHEW, crisis averted!

She was great about the whole situation though, very accommodating.
