WBPC May 6th 2013 Wonder

I carry mine in my pocket. I find them very useful as we don't have kids and we tend to do different things but if we need to meet up just a quick call away. Or now if someone makes a food run for our balcony we can ask what we want. I love the phones.

Thanks for letting me know re phones!

We also leave sticky notes in the cabin for each other.

Off topic: who is considered a CM? What about the room steward?pixiedust

I sent them a request for either May 15th or 16th during the afternoon. If you are wanting to sign up for the mixology class, just fill out the form on the first page of the thread! We've got 26 people so far signed up.

Hoping for the 16th - we've got a Palo Brunch at 11:30 on the 15th for our anniversary and I understand 2+ hrs is common for that meal...

So here is our answer...from another Disboarder...

Guest Services does accept passports (and gives you a receipt) to TRY to get stamps. They cannot promise, they can only ask the Customs officials at the various countries the ship visits to stamp them. Since a stamp isn't required, it is totally up to the agent.

This includes from Castaway cay, although it of course says "Bahamas", not Castaway.

Hope this helps!

On the EBPC, on Canal day, a person came on board at the first lock and sat at the tours desk stamping passports.

Do people carry these about in their pockets or small purses?
Are they useful(no kids with us).

We've never had ours out of the stateroom.

Sticky notes - that would be us. Of course, even without the notes, we always seem to gravitate to the other - or the cabin at nap time.

Disney Employees are Castmembers, as far as I know.

Son wants to do a report for school on s one day in South America, so we are doing the Historic Cartagena and City Walking Tour. At 7 & 10, they are better equipped to handle the schlep. We also considered the tour of the Rosario Islands.

We have down Cabo with disney before, but had two days. It is such a short stop the time, and tendering is a pain, so we are staying on the boat. Last time we did the San Jose Tour, which was a snooze, and then did a self guided stint to a local beach, which the kids loved. It was nice getting off the boat and walking around, I admit.

Thanks! We are doing the Walking tour in Cartegena & Las Caletas in PV. The girls will be 8 & 9, any exercise is good exercise:) As we are part-time HSers; glad to hear others have schoolwork onboard!

We don't have kids and we don't really use the wave phones. But really its b/c we spend SO much time having fun together - there is very little time that we're apart anyway, so for that we can handle it.

I can see on this cruise that it could be helpful for the Panama Canal day. My husband wants to spend a lot of time on deck and I'll be out there some, but not all day.

Did a little non-Disboard research. Someone who has done this many times before mentioned to go to the immigration desk at the port (but not customs), and they will stamp it for you. I will also ask Guest Services on the boat for advice.

Good to know!! It would be very cool to have a stamp from both Panama and Colombia. *fingers crossed* :hyper:

We are traveling with 2 other couples (as we did on Hawaii cruise) and we have found them helpful to get us all 6 together. We carry in our pocket.

I am always promoting Disney and that takes work. Does that make me a CM again?

We are late comers but just decided to do the PC about 2 weeks ago. I have been busy working our the details!!! We are Jennie, Jeremy (DH) and sons Jayden 6, and Justin 4. Cabin 7070 will be our home on the ship.

For the last few days I have been beating my head against the wall trying to plan shore activities for our family. I am really trying to find something good in PV because it is a the end of a long run on the ship. Any suggestions on what other families are planning??

Hi and welcome to the group.:wave2:

I have a small pouch that attaches to my lanyard or belt loop for mine - I did have to draft the pattern and sew it myself, but I do know that others have found suitable ready-made ones - the dimensions are in a thread somewhere on here.

DH and I don't have kids either, but we found that they come in handy for times when we've split up for some reason. Sometimes one of us will run up to the deck for a drink, for example, and unexpectedly find something of interest (random character, favorite flavor at the soft serve machine, etc.) so they're good for that. Also, if we are on our way to the theatre and *someone* :rolleyes1 forgets something in the room, that *someone* can go back and get it while the other grabs a seat - then we can text where the seats are so there's no awkward hunting around. We never thought we'd use them, either, but wound up finding them really handy!

I'll keep mine in my pocket (if I have one). If you go on Etsy, there are also wave phone holders that you can buy that have a hook so you can attach them to a belt loop or purse.

Got an update from DCL it will be $20 per guest and they have confirmed an hour for a private mixology class on either the 15th or 16th they will let me know exactly which day, but the 15th is the 1st day I requested!

Thanks. So let me ask the bad question. If I need to cancel when do I have to tell you?

I was told via the FB page announcement that it's non-refundable once she turns in the list.

Katy Beirnie, a DISer from the EBPC is making them and has an etsy shop, but I don't remember what it's called. Helpful, I know :flower3:

Just got some info from an insider. I can't post everything but I will tell those who are worried about a Mexican menu, as of now you can stop worrying. I hope that helps. Yes there will be two formal nights and one semi formal.
