Wishing those in the area of the storm well! It's expected to dump 20-30 inches of snow in the Boston area and 10-15 in Northern NJ. Winds are also supposed to reach up to 60 MPH. Stay safe, everyone!

:scared1: Yes, do stay safe, everyone! I'll keep good thoughts that they've over-estimated...

Sayhello

Here's the latest map. I'm now in for 12-24, but the line of 24-30 is right on me.

Ugh, I'm in the 24-30 area. I just came back from the grocery store and getting gas and there is hysteria out there! God, I hate the winters here!

Various maps have us getting anywhere from 12 to 24 inches in Plymouth. :scared1: Hoping its on the lower end.

Val & I should have stayed in FL another week.

Apparently this storm has been named "Nemo".

Somehow, the phrase, "Wrath of Nemo" just doesn't strike the same level of apprehension as the "Wrath of Kahn" we received two weeks ago. Kahn, at least, only stayed for a short while.

I hope Nemo's stay is even shorter and that everyone stays safe.

We're in for about a foot as well here in CT. Pretty cool they named it Nemo. As I clean up later today and tomorrow I'll keep singing to myself, "just keep shoveling, just keep shoveling!"

Stay safe and warm everyone who's in the path of Nemo.

Hope everyone has everything they need. No driving today. Stay safe and warm!! Watching the massive waves right now. Hoping for no flooding with this storm. We have been lucky so far this year. Hope that holds out during Nemo too. Heard on the news that they are expecting a larger drop then they said at first. 33 inches! :sad2: Just as long as we hold on to our electricity for most of the day I will be happy! Stay safe everyone!!!

About two inches of snow so far. It's been changing between snow and hail for the past two hours. I think Nemo is just beginning to arrive! Bring it on!

I'm not making any predictions, the last time I did Super Storm Sandy devastated the NY/NJ coast and I think I said something along the lines of, "Meh, it'll be nothing".

Here in Plymouth, at about 3:30 pm on Friday, its a very fine snow with about 1-2" so far. Wind is picking up.

We are fully stocked with wine&cheese. And chocolate of course!

I'm sorry for all of you. But right now my indoor/outdoor thermometer is showing indoors at 75.3 with the air conditioner on and 83.1 for the outdoors. And when I sold my house in Virginia almost ten year ago the snow shovel conveyed.

:rotfl2:
Stay warm and be safe everyone. I'm in the metro DC area and we get to sit this one out. I think our dues are still paid up from the 32 inches of snow we had in February 2010.

I'm with you, if I could move I would. I would leave not only the shovel behind, but also any other snow "stuff"
I'm seriously over it already!

We're in RI and in the 24-30" zone. We've got 5" on the ground right now, so it looks like things are right on schedule. We are having a great night -fire in the fireplace, a couple steaks on the grill, and an awesome Napa Cab we picked up 6 years ago when we were out there. Don't worry for us! We're just hoping everyone in NJ and NY are making out okay.

The Jersey Shore is getting torn apart again and it hasn't even begun to recover from Sandy. Ortley Beach and Seaside have now been flooded due to the ocean breaching. Atlantic City is close and expected to as well.

I'm getting thunder snow and winds right now. Four inches of snow so far.

Stay safe!
