...online, that is. It's nine days until we arrive. CAN'T WAIT!:dance3: I just hope they got my requests I made to MS, because there was no way to make them with the online check in. The only option was ground floor, and since I requested a high floor,... Keeping my fingers crossed that our OV 1 bedroom will be high enough to see past the Mariott!

Have fun - we were there in November and LOVED it. We had requested a high room, ocean view and it was amazing. We had a beautiful 15th floor (I think) room facing the ocean and saw the most beautiful sunsets every day. We were right above the lounge and were able to enjoy the music every evening but were high enough that it did not seem intrusive. We looked down onto the lazy river.

...online, that is.

You had me fooled for a second (or two). Based on your thread title, I thought you were already in paradise.

If you don't like your villa, let me know and I'll be glad to take it off your hands. But I'm sure it will work out for you!

Hope you get your requests and have a Wonderful Time!:thumbsup2

My husband and I are planning (hope we can swing it) to go next year in July. I hope you have a fabulous time!

That's awesome!! Please post while you're there so we can experience it with you? Have a ball!:)

:rotfl: You fooled me too! I thought you were THERE already! How exciting!!

(Since I always have room requests I'm hesitant to do the online check-in.....) Good luck!!

No, but I also requested Ewa wing.

When we were there a few weeks ago it appeared they had closed off part of the Ewa wing I thought due to the construction. There appeared to be no guests in the part of the wing where folks would be able to see most of the construction via their room/balcony.

We'll be checking in in 9 days also :cool1: though haven't done online check-in yet. We met last year at the Dec. meet at the Beach Club. I'll keep an eye out for you. :goodvibes

GREAT! We arrive on the 14th and check out on the 21st to head over to Kona.

So the construction is facing the pool and ocean views? I would have expected it to face the lawn area.

Are you sure its the Ewa Building that has been partially closed off due to construction? Most of the new features -- the kids splash zone, the infinity pool -- are nearer the Waianae Building than the Ewa Building. Aulani opened the Phase 3 villas in the Ewa Building ahead of schedule so that it could move guests away from the Waianae Building villas that directly overlooked the construction.

Diane I hope you have a terrific stay in the Islands.

We dream of visiting there someday. Enjoy the anticipation and the trip! Here's some pixie dust that your request is met! pixiedust:

The construction is in between the right side of the pool deck (when looking at towards the ocean) in front of the Waianae wing and from the lagoon.

It is also viewable from the AMA AMA and the lagoon.

It's basically in two spots. I posted the pics in the Aulani Expansion Worries thread as they give a better idea than my explanations....:)

BTW - I got the Ewa and Waianae buildings mixed up earlier in this thread when I said they had part of Ewa wing closed. It was actually the Waianae building.

You will have a good time. The resort, prior to going out to the pool deck and Lagoon is beautiful. My biggest issue with the construction was that it encompasses two "large" areas at the same time. When on the main pool deck you can see the construction walls from most views. I think they should have only tackled one side at a time.

WDRL - you are 100% corect. I was thinking about that today at my daughters meet and it hit me I told Diane wrong. I hunted down the thread when I got home because I felt bad I told her the wrong wing.
