We have been to WDW many times in the last few years but for some reason have not eaten at LeCellier since 2007. We are paying OOP, and using TIW discount. So what is the current general feeling about this place in the last few months? Thanks for any help!

We were there for dinner about three weeks ago and it was one of the best dinners I've ever had in my life.

Hope you have a great time!

Lunch this past weekend. Excellent as always, and highly recommended.

My DW and I just ate dinner there this past Friday. It was excellent!! The steaks were very good and the cheddar cheese soup was outstanding. Oh, the pretzel bread is awesome!!!

We went in December and it had mixed reviews. The soup and maple creme brulee were as good as ever. Husband loved the burger, but it is definitely no longer on the menu. The steaks were good, but certainly not any better than ones we get around here. We all agreed that if we were going this year when the prices have increased, we would not dine there.

my husband and oldest daughter LOVED their NY Strips. I had the filet and found it salty, but the soup was divine. Christmas Day, 2012

DD7 did NOT like her pasta.

Ate dinner there last summer after it went signature. Won't waste my money again. Outback Steakhouse has better steak and much better service, plus at Outback I am not 12" away from the table next to me.

we went for a late lunch in October. It was very good. My steak was a tad salty for one bite but other than that good altho our waitress was scarce....

Just back...had the BEST filet in my life there.

DH had the NY strip steak. Excellent.

I am not happy it went to 2 TS credits, but the food and service is awesome.

We were there Sunday Jan 27- there were 6 of us. My son who is 7 had the grilled chicken which was- good. One of our party had lamb and he thought is was very good! I had the rib eye which I thought was fabulous! The others had strip steak (I think it was the strip steak) and they thought it was fabulous too. The steaks were well seasoned and tender. And of course we had seconds (ok- thirds!) of the pretzel bread. Thank you Zach!!
One of us had the lobster mac & cheese and said it was amazing and two of us had the ceasar salad and it was terrific.
I love love love cheddar cheese and I had heard so much about the cheese soup that I HAD to try it and I am so sad to say that I didnt like it. Well that isn't totally true- it was good but it just really bothered my stomach- I was up all night with indigestion.
We also ate at the Yachtsman steakhouse where I had the rib eye (which is boneless) and I thought LeCellier bone-in rip eye was better.
Hope that helps!

Remember it is now 2 DDP credits for both lunch and dinner, and the menu is the same - no more separate menu for lunch versus dinner. This occurred less than a month ago.

We jut had lunch there on Tuesday, 1/22 and paid OOP. DH and I both had the cheese soup -it was good, but I found it to be much saltier than the last time we ate there in 2011. DH and DS1 had the strip steak and they both really enjoyed them - they were cooked perfectly. I had the filet with mushroom risotto and truffle butter sauce, and it was delicious, as usual. They did put a ton of sauce on it, but I just scraped some to the side and was fine. DS2 had the kids steak and he loved it. We didn't get dessert because we were very full. DH and I each had a Moosehead beer and that's always yummy. ;) And of course, the pretzel bread was awesome, and we liked the other two breads as well.

They did take the burger off the menu - we asked the waiter, and he said they do not serve them anymore. The lunch menu is now the exact same as the dinner menu, no more prix fixe option. We loved the light-up menus! I also didn't think the tables were as crowded together as they were before... maybe it was just where we were. We also had an excellent waiter and the meal was nicely paced.

Now that we've been there twice, I think we will try something new like the Yachtsman just for a different experience... but I would go back again some day.

I ate there in November and it was just as amazing as I remembered!! It's definitely an amazing place to eat, lunch or dinner, the pretzel bread, cheese soup & filet are among the favorite meals of anywhere in the world!!

DH and I had lunch there in October and it was as wonderful as we remembered from past visits. We both had the filet, which was well seasoned, perfectly cooked and cut-it-with-your-fork tender. We had excellent service and an overall great experience. We'll return for sure! :thumbsup2

It's been years since we've eaten here and I think I have sticker shock from seeing the menu prices! I'm not one to shy away from an expensive meal necessarily, but $43 for the 8oz filet? Is it really worth twice as much as a similar filet that you can choose on your own at Texas Roadhouse?? I recall liking Le Cellier a decade ago, but I'm sure the prices weren't as expensive at the time :)

Now for my specific question...does anyone know if they will prepare the filet to your specifications? Specifically without the mushroom risotto sauce? Neither of us like fungus...

I believe they will. My dh doesn't like mushrooms and as of a few years ago, they gave him mashed. I have never encountered a side substitution problem at Disney!
