I will be there March 20-24th! I am so excited. I want to make sure that I read correctly, that the rooms now have a fridge? The last time I stayed at Pop (2009) they didn't. I just want to make sure. Thanks!!:yay:

Yup, they were added to all rooms at POP last March :goodvibes There are pictures on the first page.

Here now for our 1st trip to Disney! Have to say we are really enjoying it and after reading about size of the room, I have to say we are very comfortable here with 2adults and 2 small children. Seems very quiet.
There was a huge tour group in line for busses last night coming back from MK but I haven't seen them since.
Food court seems ok, although I order Veg Lo Mein last night and had to take it back as it was Super spicy. But the manager had no issue letting me get a diff selection.
We would definitely stay here again.

Well I just left POP a week ago and it looks like I'm already going to be heading back the middle of March!! DD who is doing the CP program is missing home and wants a visit and that is about the quickest I can return... So back I go!!! Thank goodness for the CM discount on the room and that I have an annual pass! Looks like I'm going to hit my 100 days of staying at POP during my trip in June! I hit 90 days this past trip in January. No wonder so many of the CMs there recognize me, huh? LoL!

How deep are the pools? In particular, the main pool? In the pictures it almost looks like a kiddie pool, really shallow..

At the deepest point they are deeper than four feet but less than five feet. I can't remember the exact numbers I read on the side of the pool. HTH

I believe it's 4' 9" and they start at 3' and gradually get deeper.

I do know the bowling pin pool reads 4'9". Not sure if it is the same on the other pools.

Planning another trip back to Pop in December!! YAY!! I went in October this year and although I really liked it, I honestly missed all the Christmas decorations.

Does anyone know what the current bounceback looks like? I'm trying to get an idea of what dates the blackouts are for discounts/free dining so I can plan around them. THX! :hippie:

I was just at Pop a few weeks ago for Marathon weekend. The bounceback offer is now located in the welcome guide that they give you at check-in (versus the old method of the flyer in the room). The one that I have does not include any bounceback for value resorts. :confused3 It's 35% off deluxe (and deluxe villas), and 30% off moderates.

Our daughter qualifies for Make A Wish, and will going on a Disney Cruise (our first). Our chapter allows us to add on days at wdw at our own expense. Our last trip was in 2010, so we're very excited about the upcoming trip. :jumping3: We did consider staying at AoA, but since the LM rooms aren't discounted, we will happily be staying at Pop again like we have on all of our trips. :) After reading about the LM section being so far out, I'm even happier staying at Pop. We're still waiting for approval on the cruise dates, but today we decided to go ahead & book our reservation at Pop because the current discount has limited availability. The cruise dates we are hoping for are April 14-18, and we booked Pop 4/18-25. Since it's been several years since we went, and we've always gone during value season with free dining, this trip comes with some sticker shock :faint: , but not having the air fare included with the cruise is an advantage we don't want to pass up on.

Have an amazing MAW trip! :flower3: Your April POP dates are included in the Public Room only discount code which I assume you may have booked since you indicated you have a discounted room.

From Mousesavers: Spring Savings offer:
Note: This is a “room only” offer, but tickets and dining plans can be added (which will change your booking to a package, subject to package rules). Tickets of 4 days or longer are discounted with the package version of this offer. Book by 3/7/13 for February and March stays; book by 3/31/13 for April, May and June stays.

Are you having to purchase park tickets? From reading the above it sounds like you can get the discounted room and tickets. Worth checking into if you haven't already. :goodvibes

Thank you  Yes, we needed tickets, and that's what we booked. :)

Does anyone know what is going on this weekend that would cause Pop to not have any rooms available? My daughter and family will be there, and when she called last night to verify all the ressies, was told it is at full capacity this weekend. Thanks.

I am interested in this too! I start my vacation Sunday at All Star Sports and it too is totally booked (and has been for months)!

The following weekend- Feb 10th is the National High School Cheerleading Championships.

Also this http://espnwwos.disney.go.com/events/cheer/varsity-national-dance-team-championships/

It is the national dance team competition. The good thing is that they are at the all star resorts and one of the moderates (CSR?). But because they have filled that up, the rest of us value folks booked Pop. I think they will be mostly at ESPN and Hollywood Studios, and most will depart Sunda or Monday. I don't think they will affect park crowds too much as they compete all day Sat and Sun.

LOL!! Yeah this time I am only going for 5 nights. I am planning on arriving around noon on Sunday and I am taking the last flight out (10pm) on Friday so that should give us a good bit of time. She'll ask for 2 days off and then we'll plan to spend time together when she's not working. She is REALLY struggling. :( She's never been away from home like this and it is taking it's toll on her. I don't think she ever thought she was going to miss us like this! Seriously!! She is my tough cookie...NEVER cries about ANYTHING kid! Well actually she's an adult, she's not even a teen anymore... :faint:

I must say when I went for 11 nights just a few weeks ago, it was MUCH different than I had ever expected. She was only able to stay with me the first two nights and the second night she was gone by 5:30am to get in line to check in for housing! There were so many things she had to do that I was on my own way more than she and I had ever expected!! I will admit at times it was kinda lonely by about day 10, I was starting to 'feel' it. It was just 'different'. Going into the parks solo can be fun sometimes but time after time...Well...I was missing having someone to ride with...talk to about everyday life, KWIM? I think the 5 days will be better on this 'momma' too, for the times that I am by myself while she is working. I don't mind some 'me' time. But the last trip...WOW!!!! I think I got a little too much 'ME' time!! :rotfl2:
So, Janet, you may not want my life after all!! :lmao:
