Does anyone know what time the Cove Cafe opens in the morning?
Do they serve regular coffee or are they just specialty coffees?
Have heard the drink station coffee is"swill". Haha!

They serve breakfast pastries as early as I've ever been on deck. One source of decent coffee is room service--put the hang tag outside the night before and it will appear at your room at the appointed time. I've also read that if you order it at night, the carafe will keep it warm till morning (no person experience, I'm a tea drinker).

My mom is a big coffee drinker. She really liked the "swill". She never purchased a specialty coffee from the Cove.

She hated RCI coffee and ran up a $500 coffee bill for the week between my stepdad and her.

:scared1: I love coffee but your Mom must have it running through her veins. :goodvibes

On our recent Fantasy cruise the Cove Cafe opened 1/2 hour before Cabanas opened for breakfast. The time varied depending upon the day and how early we could get off the ship that day for the particular port. It was usually 6:30am or 7am. I liked the drink station coffee.

They do have regular coffee, but you will still have to pay for it. :confused3
When I was out at about 6:30, they were open even though their poster opening is 7. It's kind of a crap shoot.

Are the breakfast pastries different than those at Cabana's or from Room Service? Would I be allowed to run up in the morning, grab a drink and some pastries to take back to the room for us while we get ready for the day? I believe our room on the Fantasy is fairly close to the Cove Cafe and it would be much easier some mornings to just do that.

Thanks everyone!
I will try the "swill" for myself. If its that bad will have to go to plan B

Can you use the Cove Cafe punch cards from a previous cruise ?
What kind of pastries do they have. Or are they the same as Cabanas ?

The pastries depended upon the time of day. I usually went down there every morning and grabbed a croissant. The rest of the pastries were different from the ones at cabanas. I think someone has said in the past that they are similar to some at the Palo brunch. I remember some small eclairs and other "fancier" pastries. Hope this helps.

I was told that "yes" you can use punch cards from previous cruises.

I will find out for myself though in March if its true.

Yes, you can use your punch card on multiple cruises. It took two to fill up our cards! ;)
