Akl/ akv question

Hi all!

First time posting but I've been to Disney 10x in the past10 years My DH and I are staying at AKL for the very first time and are so excited! My parents decided they would like to join and are using DVC points to stay at AKV. Is there anyway we an request our rooms to be close? I know we would be on different floors and maybe even different buildings if they get booked in kidani... But anyone ever been in a similar situation? What did you do? I guess it wouldn't be the worst thing to have a little distance... Lol thanks in advance!!

If you booked a room thru Disney for Jambo House, and your parents booked a villa there thru points, you will be on different floors. All of the DVC villas are on the top floors, while the lower floors are reserved thru Disney.

It all depends on what room category you booked, etc. Like the pp stated, AKV Jambo is floor 5 and 6.

But yes, we have been in the situation, although not on DVC...

Our entire party stayed CL which is located on the 4th floor (room was within the #4210-4225 Kudu Trail location). However, mid-stay DH/I booked a separate 1-nt package on Arusha Savannah. While it took us to a completely different floor - the front desk CM was able to keep our rooms in the same location by moving us just one floor below - 3rd floor #3210-3225 location. We just took an elevator down the hall to get to each other.

If they end up with Kidani you will be in completely seperate buildings/resorts, about a 10min walk apart from each other. The buses do run between the resorts, theme park buses pick up at Kidani first and Downtown Disney buses pick up at Jambo first. So there is a way to take a bus between the resorts.

There is also a van to shuttle guests between Jambo and Kidani.
