Sailing in under two weeks, and into planning overdrive! Early in December there was a thread about galley tours being available now on the Fantasy. I wanted to check with any of you RECENT cruisers to see if that was the case. I want to be prepared to hit guest services right away for tickets if that's the case.

Thanks for your help!

We got off the Fantasy yesterday. I didn't see any galley tours, but I wasnt looking for one either.

Okay, thanks anyway.

Pretty sure they aren't advertised, but you have to get tickets from GS.

So hopefully somone who actually checked will let us know.

We took the galley tour on the Jan. 12 Eastern cruise. We enjoyed it, but didn't find it exceptional. There was no one in the kitchen at the time of our tour (2:30 pm). They showed us the preparation areas, equipment and spoke about some of the procedures. It was incredibly clean. We signed up for the tour on the second day of our cruise and we had a choice of times. They took us through the galley that is shared by the Royal Court and Animator's Palette. I think that you may find it interesting. The tour that we liked even better was the Art of the Theme tour that talked about the ship. We learned a lot and Tina was a great guide who gave us ideas for the DCL ABC book that we were making for our grandsons. She saw us several times during the week and always remembered our names. She also left us a personal note with more suggestions for some of the more difficult letters like Q and Z.

I just got off the Fantasy western yesterday and I did the galley tour which was really fun. I hope they offer it on the Magic when I go in July with my dad who loves to cook because I'm sure he will also love the tour. On the Fantasy it was not advertised no went to Guest Services right after boarding at 11:40 and booked my 2 tastings and then asked for a galley tour. I got the 2:30 slot on the last sea day. I was happy that our tour was led by the actual chef who was very friendly and loved answering our group's many questions. I saw the 3:00 and 3:30 tours coming behind us and theirs were just led by regular CMs, the ones in the white shorts and red/white/blue tops. I'm sure our tour must have been the best being conducted by the chef himself. It was really amazing seeing how they do everything. The bet parts were all the questions and answers, I learned so much. And we got a warm chocolate chip cookie at the end which was a nice touch!

That's great information! I'm so thrilled these are back. I've taken the tour on the Magic a couple of times, many moons ago, but it's been a while since they've offered them.

My partner is a bit of a chef and he'll find it very interesting and I love the "back stage" tours. I like to know how things work behind the scenes!

Just curious - Can kids go on this tour? I'd love to take this tour and am wondering if I'll have to put them in the Kid's Clubs so me and DH can do this, if offered.

I don't remember if it said adults only, but there were no kids in my tour, nor did I see any in the other 2 tours behind ours.
