Rainforest Room

We did the rainforest room on the fantasy last year. It's part of the spa and has several different shower rooms, saunas and heated loungers next to hot tubs. Very relaxing. I think the idea is that you do hot/cold showers, hit the steamroom and then relax on the loungers. We typically just grabbed a lounger and spent some time in the hot tubs. We paid around $150 for both of us (DW and me). While it was nice to be able to go anytime and have some quiet relaxing time we're probably not going to do it this year. But I would still recommend trying it out!

When DW and I did the Wonder PC cruise she wanted to sign up the both of us for unlimited entry for the entire cruise. I was not at all excited about spending that kind of money but thought; this is probably a once in a life time experience and we didn't have our DS along so we could come and go as we pleased, I gave in and went along with it.

I am a Rainforest believer, we both spent a lot of time in there. The warm tile lounges were very relaxing and I fell asleep on them. Loved the aroma therapy sauna, spent a lot of time in there. The dry sauna with the tile lounges was another place I spent a lot of my time. Took cool and warm showers between the various spots.

The only place I could NOT stay in was the HOT steam sauna. It was way too hot for me.

Is this on the Magic as well? We did it on the Fantasy and the views from the Jacuzzi and the heated tile loungers were definitely worth it.

The showers were nice as well as the sauna's but those tile loungers I were awesome!

Yes, all four ships have Rainforest rooms. The Magic/Wonder rainforest rooms are different from the Fantasy/Dream rainforest rooms but they all have the saunas, showers and heated loungers.

This will be my birthday treat for our October cruise. I plan to let DH watch our 5 1/2 month old while I relax in the rainforest room one afternoon.

There are some great videos of the rainforest rooms available on YouTube if you are interested in checking them out.

Does the rainforest room get crowded? We going on the Fantasy and we'll actually be on the boat long enough to use it this time, but it doesn't seem large enough to have many people comfortable in there. It might take off some of my relaxation when I'm in that lounger if someone is waiting on one foot and then the other for me to move.

Just did a week pass. It was 148 for a couple - which can be any 2. My sister and i did this together and we werent even in the same cabin. It was mostly uncrowded. On our last sea day it was crowded mid afternoon but it was a chilly day so people sought an indoor activity. We were there at least 5 times each. My favorite was after dinner - empty and the hot tubs have cool lights. Twice i paid $9 for a scrub. They gave me a little jar of scrub and two loofahs- a great deal. I used it all week in the bath. The vanilla orange was my favorite.

When do you buy this pass- can you reserve early?
I called DCL and if you want a weekly pass you have to wait till you board the ship . Daily passes can be preordered ahead of time on the website. Their is a good video on youtube about the rainforest. Me and the wife intend to get the weekly pass. Everything I have read is a definite good review.

Thank you! You saved me a phone call:)

I know you said you can prebuy a 1 day pass. but Can I just walk in to the RR, or buy a 1 day pass once im on the ship?!?!?

We went to the spa the first day and purchased. I think you could also buy a 1 day . It was nice to have it available all week . This way we could just pop in and not think about getting value from a one day pass.

Do they have prices for just one person?

Are the showers divided or co-ed? I'm wondering if this would be a good place to grab a shower while the rest of the family is getting ready in the stateroom.

You could use the showers in the men's locker room.
