Emmysdaddy Accompanies the Damsels & Yes, He Posed with Princesses 2/2 Completed

I love your model-esque pic with the flowers in the background! So pretty!

That stinks you weren't feeling well! Food overload??

I love reading about a good DIS meet and I'm so glad all your ladies were fast friends. R&C is such a fun place for a DIS meet. I have definitely not spent enough time inside at the bar.

Sorry you weren't feeling great on your last night. With a view like yours it must be really hard to pack and leave. But I guess all good things must come to an end.

I'm all caught up! Whew! I love this TR, it's just so cute! I've had a lot of "laugh out loud" moments but my favorite was where you said, "I could be a princess if it weren't for the fact that my dad is not the King of any country." :lmao:

It seems like yall had so many great dining experiences (and okay, maybe a couple that weren't great... but the majority rules haha)! That's awesome. It's funny how different the 2-br villas at BLT can be! I didn't really realize! And if it makes you feel any better, we didn't have any bar stools either. :rotfl:

I'm sad that I only made it here for the end! But at least it's not over yet. :thumbsup2

Brenda, I got behind due to being ill last week and then trying to catch up at work. Two great updates that I missed.

What a fun DIS meet. I'm so glad that all of you could meet at the same time at the same place. Such great pictures of all of you.

And I'm sorry you weren't feeling 100%, but you were a trooper to go to dinner since Michael and Em were so looking forward to it. I love your dress.

And what a great last picture of the Castle.

I love this report - I'm sad it's almost over. I hope you'll do another one soon!
:)

I'm sorry you weren't feeling well for your final night of the trip. Looks like you all had another wonderful vacation though.

Hi Debra! Ohhh, I really did it to myself with the whole overeating thing so leason learned...I don't have to eat everything! But yeah, it was a great family vacation. :)

I love your model-esque pic with the flowers in the background! So pretty!

Awww thanks! Yes, definitely food overdosing... a very bad disorder that I seem to pick up on vacation rather like a nasty flu bug! ;)

Hi Mary Ellen! I know you have met many Disers so you know how cool it is to make friends through the love of Dis!!! :goodvibes

And yes... it's always hard to leave!

Hi Marisssa! Thanks so much for dropping by! Compared to your epic and very entertaining TR this was rather dull.

I think I've figured out that the bar stools are in the villas with the widest Living Room area so that would be the rooms in the middle of the outer horseshoe. Not sure why it even matters to me but they are pretty cool! :scratchin I'll have to conduct further research in 3 weeks when we return.

Now to get caught up with your TR (and everyone else)

I saw that you weren't feeling well Kathy, I hope you are 100% now. I'm glad I see your FB updates since I know when you have updated your TR - good to know. :thumbsup2

Confession... the dress was $10 at Ross! I love cheap clothes!

I love this report - I'm sad it's almost over. I hope you'll do another one soon!
:)

Hi Alyssa! I hope all is well with you and your adorable family. I need to get caught up with your PTR and see more of your fabulous movie/themed nights and how Robert is doing!

My only consolation for this TR coming to an end is our upcoming trip in 3 weeks! ::yes::

Thursday August 30, 2012 - Day 13

Argh! Our last day at WDW. I awoke to my alarm since I knew I may not magically awake at 7am to get to MK for our final breakfast.

Final photo of CR from our room

I rushed everyone to shower and finish packing so we could get our bags down to the airline check in. Since we were flying first class we didn’t need to call the airline baggage phone number to pay in advance. We simply called bell service who showed up quickly and took our bags down where they were tagged with the priority tags and thrown in the luggage cage. We were given our boarding passes at that time.

See the new Disney bag!!

After tipping both the bell service guy and the airline checker dude we met up with one of Michael’s cousins that is a guest relations manager at CR. She reminded us to give her a call next time we are coming and we'll get together.

After saying our good-byes we walked over to MK for our final meal at WDW. It was EMH at MK this morning so the park was already open by the time we arrived at 8:10am.

We took our final Main Street photopass photos before checking into CRT for breakfast. Read how Michael made this an entire manly experience with a sword and steak and did he pose with princesses?? Here’s my CRT breakfast review.

We saw Tracer00 (Tracy) and her daughter who had ADRs at CRT at the same time so we took turns being personal photographers for each other.

I love the castle mosaics... here's some photos

Now it was time for the final sad walk back down Main Street towards the exit since our Magic Express pick-up time was 10:55am and we still had to get the rest of our belongings out of our room.

Bye for now my friends!

See you real soon! Indeed!

Thursday August 30, 2012 - Day 13, Part 2

Back at BLT, we happened to see Yvette, the friendly Mousekeeping CM who told Emily to take the duck that she had made for her toothbrush. She told us to ask for a room on her floor if we return so that we could see her again. She loved the fact that she couldnt tell that there were guests occupying the room since I kept it so clean and tidy. Awwww& thats just my obsessive-compulsive nature! But thanks for noticing! Once again, I had stripped the beds of the linens and had them in a nice tidy bundle for her once we left.

After gathering our carry-on items we were ready to meet our ME bus downstairs. We stopped briefly to hug (remember Im a hugger!) and to have a photo taken with Yvette.

DSC07110.jpg

Then the last elevator ride to the 5th floor, the last walk across the skybridge to the CR, the last escalator ride to the lobby level, and finally, the last time to walk through the doors to the porte cochere. The bus came momentarily and after handing the driver our ME voucher and we settled in for the ride back to the airport.

They really shouldnt torture guests with the see you later video that plays on the return to the airport like we dont already feel bad about having to leave that we need some wistful reminder of happier times? It is about this time that Im already formulating a plan for a return trip and the anticipation of returning in 6 months or so.

DSC07180.jpg

Once dumped at the airport we had an uneventful experience making it through security and to our gate to await our flight. From the time the bus left the CR to the time we were seated at our gate, it was an hour and a half and that included a pick-up stop at WL.

We flew Delta on our return to CA. For their first class service they have mini Desani bottled waters awaiting the guests with a pillow/blanket. They served snacks on the flight segment from Orlando to Minneapolis/St. Paul so nothing exciting to share other than packaged cookies and chips. I did have a Bloody Mary so I had that going for me! Here's my airline dinner thoughts and photos.

We landed around 7:15pm in Orange County, picked up our bags, and welcomed the sight of my dad picking us up!

Thus concludes 13 days/12 nights, 2 resorts, 4 parks, DisneyQuest and DTD, 28 table service meals, 6 counter service meals, 1 dessert party, a touch of Hurricane Isaac, and 9 Dismeets!!! Now THAT is quite a trip!

As for that next trip& YES, it is already booked as most of you already know. The next trip is booked for a split/split stay from 2/23/13 through 3/4/13.

I had Emily select the hotels and dining line up. We have very similar tastes so theres not much she deviated from compared to past trips. (She did leave GFC off the breakfast list darn!)

Heres the plan:
1 night at AKL (I finally got smart and just decided to stay there so that we can dine at Jiko and so that we dont cancel Boma one more time. Tusker House will still have to wait!)
3 nights at Yacht Club Club Level Pool/Lagoon view room
5 nights Bay Lake Tower 1 bedroom villa Lake View
Tables in Wonderland for our 26 ADRs
Premier passes which we renewed in October
Look for her PDR here.

With that... our next WDW adventure begins in 21 days!!

Thanks for hanging in there with this TR. We'll see you real soon. If you see us around WDW - PLEASE say hi. (Just watch out for the hugs!) :yay:

Oh man I am so excited for your next trip! At least I can live vicariously through other people when I am not there

I really enjoyed reading about your trip and I'm so happy to see you are heading back in 21 days! Actually, I'm a little jealous. Wait....make that a lot jealous. It's been really cold here recently and I am so in need of a Disney vacation. Unfortunately, I have to wait until April to get a little taste of Disney at the HHI resort. Then June is off site for me. Yeah I know :faint: . Don't question it - it IS what is IS.

Anyway - the end of February sounds like an absolutely perfect time to visit the world and I hope you do another TR and have lots of fun with more DIS meets. I have to go back and read your dining reviews.

I think your will absolutely love Jiko. Staying at AKL for a night just to hit up Jiko and Boma sounds wonderful.

Hi Brenda

Well what can I say but ...... AWESOME TR !!!

Can't believe it's nearly time for your next trip already!

It's great for us all though because we get to read your TR and DR :)

Have fun!

Lx

Awesome finale to your trip report, and it's great that you'll be back so soon! Can't wait to hear both of your thoughts on all the new things you're trying this trip - Jiko, Narcoossee's, Raglan, AKL, and (of course) New Fantasyland. :goodvibes

Still catching up!!!

I enjoyed reading about your pool time. Slide looked fun. It's no spittin' out of a clown's mouth, but that might be ok!

I haven't been to Artist Point (or the WL for that matter). What a great meal. The tomato salad looked beautiful, but I was hoping someone had ordered the king crab and corn fritter. I will say your soup and salad looked pretty darn amazing! I would have been plenty happy with that.

I was disappointed that you just ordered the Berry Cobbler and then- surprise- you got the cannoli, too! I would take that.

Love the picture of the two of you in the chairs.

So very cool that Michael saw some kind of wild cat.

We haven't done breakfast at 'Ohana, either. Love all of your pictures. PRETTY DRESS!

Kudos to Michael for being such a good sport meeting with Ariel and Jaz.

Off to read some more...

Wow, I can't believe this is already over! Even though I literally came in at the very end, I really enjoyed reading along! It sounds like it was such a wonderful trip. I hope you'll do a TR for your upcoming trip, too! It's so exciting that you get to go back so soon!!

Yay for a fun Dismeet in Epcot!! It's very difficult to resist eating too much yummy Disney food - your lunch sounds very worthy of over-indulging though!!

Thanks for sharing your fun adventures!! Can't wait to hear about your next trip! :goodvibes

A great TR! I really enjoyed reading a long. Enjoy you trip in Feb :) Can't wait to read about it!

Awwww, sad that's it over!! :sad1: but what a wonderful trip and report!! I am so looking forward to your next Emmy and Mom trip yay! :goodvibes

I hate last days, but you three sure made the best of it.

I so enjoyed getting to know you through your TR and you are one popular lady with your DIS meets. I can't wait for the next adventure, and I've subscribed to your lovely daughter's report as well.

Although I'm sad this trip is over, I'm excited your next adventure is just around the corner!

Thanks for sharing another awesome trip and dining report!
