Rainforest Cafe is at AK park, not at the Lodge. Yes, there is an entrance outside the park as well as one inside the park. I'm not sure your friends can bring a car into the park area without paying -- unless they have APs or are staying on Disney property.

For those of you who have rented points around how far out do the value & concierge options tend to sell out? We will have to wait until the end of Feb/early March to book but were hoping for one of the two. Will I be out of luck?

When I booked AKL for early May at 7 months out, I could have gotten a value one-bedroom, but for concierge there was only one single night available still.

...which one - the one at AK or the one at DTD? You'll have to pay for parking if you go to the one at AK...BTW, your friends can pick you up with their vehicle if it's verified that you are guests at the resort...

We will be staying in AKV Jambo Dec. 7-14 in a 2 bedroom lock off villa. We're super excited as its our first time staying at a deluxe resort! We are renting the points and using David's DVC rentals as a broker. We have 4 adults and 3 kids. I was kinda hoping for Kidani as my mom and brother are both bigger people and would have been comfy in a queen bed each in the 2nd bedroom. I called AKL and the nice gentleman at the front desk informed me that in Jambo the second bedroom has a queen and a sleeper sofa. My question is...Are the sleeper sofas comfortable? Should I see if I could be switched to Kidani? Would it even be possible to switch to Kidani? My mom and brother said that they don't mind the sleeper sofa, but this is a big vacation for them and I really want them to have a magical time! I kind of like the idea of staying in the main lodge, but I don't know if the trade off of the 2nd queen bed is worth it! Any help would be appreciated! Sorry for the long winded post!

Hi all,
I am new this thread, but not the forum! We are really excited about our upcoming stay at AKL, savannah with bunk beds on May 17-19!!!! We have stayed at the Grand Floridian twice, and off site at the Waldorf Astoria twice and are ready to try deluxe again. My girls can't wait to see the animals from our balcony! They're pretty excited to try out those bunk beds too!
