Fantasy BBB timeliness

Hey everyone,
Just curious for those who have done the BBB on the Fantasy if your appt started on-time.
I know in the parks they tend to run behind, last trip 45 min behind!!! UGH!

We have an appt, but if they run late it could cause us to miss the first pirate show with the characters. Hoping to change the time when we board, but just curious if they have been really good about the schedule. If so, it may not be a concern.
Just a little hesitant as we ended up being there over 2 1/2 hours last time we were at the parks. I know with the pirates they don't do hair, so that should help with the speed of things, but again wondering if appts have been starting on time and sticking to the timeframe they set for the most part.

THANKS so much!

They were right on time for DD's appointment on the MV and finished within the alloted time. If they were going to have delays, I would have expected it in the beginning.

Well the bbb is a weird place because I know from my wife working their that it's not like a doctor or mechanic. They are adapting to each child if the children ahead of you are sleeping, or won't sit still it takes a lot longer, also include kids with wet heads or fresh chlorine doesn't help the process. And dear lord if a child has lice. But yea the accuracy of the time is not based anywhere near 100% or even 50% on the CM's at the bbb it's your fellow guests ahead of you.

As a hairstylist I can tell you we will encounter many, many things our of our control that can cause us to run behind. Especially with children. Some won't sit still, even if they are happy to be there. It can be challenging to style a moving object! Others may want a style that their hair may not cooperate for. A girl with long hair is easier and quicker to get into an updo that a child with hair above their shoulders. For the magic to happen some things need to take a little longer than others and the most important thing is that every little girl walks away feeling like a princess! princess:

Thanks for the input! I definitely understand the challenges and that each day will be unique, was just curious in a sort of polling way what others experiences have been at the Fantasy BBB overall.

Thanks again!

I would expect the BBB onboard to be affected differently than the one in the park & DTD. Honestly, I would NOT wait beyond 30 minutes for an appointment. That is a waste of park time -- which is why we don't book that or table service when at WDW. The schedule on the ships is less frantic and isn't based on wait times for rides like it is at the parks.

We had two kids do BBB for pirate night right before dinner and they both got in and out on time; I would think that's one of their busiest times.

When will I find out which night is pirates night for our cruise? I want to book the Little Mermaid makeover for my DD and therefore guess I will need to choose a day that is not the same as pirates night?

I was thinking of doing BBB on my DD's birthday but that's also our 3rd 'at sea' day so I'm guessing that might also be pirates night?

Any help greatly appreciated!

It will be online, in your itinerary

Which itinerary are you doing? How many nights and from which port? The cruises out of PC are pretty much set in stone for the schedules. The others can be determined from other like itineraries once they have begun.

We did it around 2:30pm on a port day and it was dead! We were the only ones in there at that time so it worked out well. I'm sure on formal night and pirate night they are busy and can get backed up.

I think that pirate night is the 4th night if you are doing the eastern.

We did the Royal Sea Package (3 different visits) and all 3 were in/out on time and the salon was never full. For reference, we were there on Pirate Night too. I think we had a 5:15 appointment and had time for a photo shoot and the show before second seating dinner.

Exactly on time for us. It was much more enjoyable then the BBB at Magic Kingdom. You don't have the throngs of people standing around with nothing else better to do, it's a cruiseship! :)

Pirate night seemed to take the least amount of time and it was very busy. Plan ahead! Being a little early allows time to get dressed.

We're doing the 7 night, Eastern Caribbean on the Fantasy.
