Best walking route to ETWB?

Hi! I'm hoping someone can give their opinion on the best route to take to get to ETWB at rope drop this Friday. I found a map online that shows the location, but I was wondering if I should take the right handed spoke from the hub or the left spoke as far as distance/crowds and how easy it is to find the attraction for someone not familiar with the park? I would welcome any suggestions - I'd hate to be delayed in getting there because we get lost or take a less than optimum route. Thank you so much!

Right spoke and and then left up behind the castle (past Merida and the Wishing Well) or, even better, straight through the castle--assuming its open.

We were directed to go past merida one rope drop to the right of the castle. But the castle was open and everyone going thru the castle got there before us.

Yes.
Unless there is some sort of problem, the central Castle (#24 map below) archway/pathway (drawbridge) will be open to walk through in the early mornings.

Then walk past the Carrousel (#20)
through the Castle Wall area (#4)
and you're there (#5.)

And we would have to veer off to the left to grab PP fastpasses before heading to Belle correct? I sure hope so coz this is the plan on Sunday :-)

Once behind the castle, yes. It's not far out of your way at all.

yes, but if you veer off to do that you probably (almost certainly) will NOT be in the first Belle group.

We did the direct to Belle twice on our recent trip (1/8 and 1/15) - first time barely got into the first group (this was moving it 2 adults and a 13 year old); second time was at the beginning of the 2nd group (3 or 4 families were in before us in the 2nd group). That was going directly there after watching the opening show (did watch the show from a good viewpoint so weren't hovering by the gates).

When we came out on 1/8 (a Tuesday thus a slower MK day) the posted wait was 75 minutes).

SO I'd suggest go directly to Belle and do that first then get PP FP. Just my 2 cents.

Not that long. I wouldn't make being in the first group a huge priority.

Ah, nevermind, I see you said the wait was 75 minutes. So yeah, I guess good idea to try and get on the first group lol.

Thanks Mesa, and as usual, very helpful :)

It's definitely huge to get there ASAP, but you should be fine if you make any of the first four groups or so. After that the wait starts to get bad.

Actually the wait for the 2nd show isn't bad because there are 2 rooms (ssshhh don't tell DD we've lucked out and been in the same room all 3 times)

Basically they let in the first group and do the 3 rooms (waiting room/ Maurice's cottage into the 'mirror room' and then into the Wardrobe room. That all takes a bit of time but they hurry it along more when you're in the first group. Then they start the rotation with the second group - when we were in the 2nd group I told DD they were getting us in early to get us organized so we'd be ready when Belle was.

I think mesaboy is right after you've got both rooms going there will be more of a wait because then the whole show has to play out before there will be much movement in the line.

So when we came out from the first group there was our group (1st) in there and the 2nd group of people already seeing their show and probably a 3rd group of folks in one of the 3 outer rooms (getting roles or whatever).

I still think it's worth it to "move it" and get in very early.

yes, great info... anyone know if the castle pathway is open during morning EMH?

I'm debating grabbing WTP FPs instead of Pan, and hoping for a Dumbo bonus FP which I hear is happening with some frequency early in the mornings. Plus WTP FP is even less out of the way (Philharmagic) than PP FPs, right?

That way we can tag everything else in the FLE and Circus area, THEN grab PP FPs, and hit Pinocchio Haus for a mid-morning snack/break with potties before riding PP. Maybe even get a carousel or teacups in there while waiting for the PP FP to come due.

Just some thoughts, cuz frankly at this point, with everyone planning to get PP FPs on the way, I'm wondering how long the wait will be there...stalling my arrival at ETWB.
