Hi. My family is looking at the moderate resorts for this summer and we have never tried CSR. Our youngest DD is 8 and we are worried that the pool will be too deep for her in many areas. Can anyone tell me how deep it is in the pool? I can see in the pictures that some parts are 3 ft. 6 In. but it shows some 4 ft. areas too. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Also, does the Pepper Market have Ala Carte now instead of buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Thanks! :)

Most of the pool is 3'6", but there is a section that is deeper. All WDW pools have well trained lifeguards. You can ask for a loaner swim vest for your daughter.

According to Allears, "As of January 1, 2013, Pepper Market at the Coronado Springs Resort switched to an a la carte menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner."

We love to stay in the Ranchos area, you truly feel as if you are in the desert, and you are close to the main pool and a bus stop. Building 6B does not have any parking lot views and is in between other units so the themed landscaping is great! It is also very near the Rancho quiet pool.

Thanks for the info! I like the sound of the Ranchos, but is it far from El Centro? My DH likes to walk there to get us coffee in the mornings and we don't want to be too far away. We use the pools daily too though.

Yes, it is a bit of a walk, probably about five minutes from the Ranchos to El Centro, but the landscaping is so very nice. There is also the occasional bench along the way.

There is a coffee maker in the room, although it's not the best.

I agree the rancho section is nice looking & serene and all, but even the closest Rancho bldg 7B is at least10 minutes away from El centro.... The 2 ideal spots to be @ IMHO are: The 1st is Cabanas 9B which is close to El Centro & to the main pool. The other We liked is Casitas 3 Which was only a 4 minute walk to el centro & an 8 minute walk to the pool. But also very very close to the quiet pool, Spa, & laundry...Also the bus stop....

BTW. Your daughter will be fine, & she will absolutely love the pool...My twins who are on the smaller size went when they were 7...They're about above avg swimmers.. I think there are 4 or 5 lifeguards on duty at one time too..

This place is awesome:thumbsup2
