How exciting for you! I just finished reading your trip report where you found out you were accepted. My son is down there right now doing the DCP! He checked in on the 7th He's in custodial in the MK. He seems to be loving it and I'm sure you will too!!

And I have to say that Preston letting you take his little puppy was the sweetest thing ever. Yall have such a sweet relationship.

ALSO, please don't feel bad for not replying to comments. It can be SO time consuming, I totally get it! ANDDDD... your flight takes off in about an hour and a half I guess! WOW!!!!!!!

Jess it is so nice to see someone your age so focused on your goals! It's ok that you don't know exactly what you want to do. What is important is that you are achieving your dreams and having thee experience of a lifetime! I have a feeling that whatever it is you do end up setting your sights on will surely happen for you!
My DD and I will be there 4/27 to 5/3 so I'll keep my eyes open for you! I can't wait to read about where you will be working. Do you have a favorite spot you are hoping for?

January 20th, 2013 (Part 1) - Flying to Disney!

I’m writing to you directly from my flight down to DISNEY WORLD. Not only does Southwest have reasonable/direct flights to Orlando and let you check two bags for free… but they also have $5 all day wifi! WOOHOO BEST AIRLINE EVER!

Alright so I have to tell you all about this day. THIS DAY, JANUARY 20TH, 2013, IS THE DAY THAT MY LIFE IS BEGINNING. IT IS THE DAY THAT I AM MOVING TO WALT DISNEY WORLD FOR MY COLLEGE PROGRAM.

This is a huge deal.

I posted on twitter this morning:
I'M MOVING TO DISNEY TODAY, I'M MOVING TO DISNEY TODAY!!!!!!!! I have been waiting for this moment my entire! AHHHHHH!!

So I already told you about my morning involving trip report writing and blueberry pancakes. Not a bad start.

After that I took a shower and got ready. Jon was heading off to his SAT class at school so I said a quick goodbye and we had one last family hug! I’m gonna miss that guy!

I decided to wear the crew neck that I bought on the January 2011 frump trip for sentimental reasons. That’s the trip that started it all and look where I’m going now!

I also had to say goodbye to my pets. I took this picture last night but Tink clearly did not want me to leave...

Bye bye, Pep. I love my puppy and I'm going to miss him so much!

I said goodbye to Tigger too but he was eating. So I didn't get a picture. My cat is a FRUMP.

Dad loaded up the car and then we were off to the airport! The ride there was SO fast.

I posted on twitter:
Arriving at the airport. THIS IS REAL LIFE, PEOPLE. OH MY GOD.

We checked my bags at the outside kiosk in the FREEZING cold. I couldn’t wait to get to Florida.

ALL OF MY SUITCASES WERE UNDER 50 POUNDS!!! WOOHOO!!!! I was so proud of us. My Mom and I are expert packers.

We went inside the airport and I said goodbye to my Dad. He said he is really proud of me for starting off my career even though it’s a little early! I think he’s just sad to see his little girl go.

We had one last hug and he was off! Then Mom and I went through security with no trouble at all. After reorganizing our lives we went down to Gate 18!

We found some seats and waited for Mark. I was starving so I just got up to go get my food. Then all of the sudden Mark and his Mom appeared! I ran over and gave him a huge hug! WE WERE MOVING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!

Mark went with me to get food and we both ordered beef on weck. I got a side of sweet potato fries too! The worker there was so funny. She called us "sugar lumps" when she brought us our food and when I asked for extra honey for my sweet potato fries, she was like “here’s some honey for the honey!” Bahaha what a frumpy way to begin.

I ate absolutely EVERYTHING that I ordered. I was starving. I think the excitement and the goodbyes were so draining that I just needed to eat.

Mark and I chatted and then all the sudden it was time to board! DISNEY DISNEY DISNEY DISNEY DISNEY DISNEY DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!! HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said, we are flying Southwest and we were in boarding group B. Mark and his Mom sat in front of my Mom and I.

Preston called me around 4 o’clock so I got to talk to him right before we took off at 4:15 pm. He was super happy because his last short play went AWESOME. He was also freaking out for me because I AM MOVING TO DISNEY! He was so supportive and super happy for me. I’M SO SO SO EXCITED AHHHH!

MUFFIN AND I ARE GOING TO DISNEY!

After saying goodbye to Preston it was time to fly! We left the gloomy weather, flew above the clouds and saw SUNSHINE! WE ARE DISNEY BOUND!
