"High tea" opportunities on the Dream 4 day to Bahamas

When I say "high tea" it doesn't have to mean ultra fancy. I have been trying to find someplace to have tea with my DD and hoped to find an opportunity on the ship. As a backup, I know there is a place in Disney to do it after we get back, but I thought tea on the high seas would be fun for us. My DD is 8 and does enjoy tea.

I know some of the longer cruises offer tea with Alice. We don't even need a character experience, just the experience.

High tea on the ships has been eliminated to make more Palo brunch slots. And when it did exist, it was adult only.

No, you won't find a tea on a 4 night cruise...not even a kid's tea.

Thanks for the info. I guess it's on to Disney to book our tea experience. Seems like there's too much to fit in on the ship anyway.

I can highly recommend the High Tea at the Grand Floridian! It's a little pricey, but really well done, and very yummy! And the atmosphere is very, very nice!

This is probably blasphemy on a disney site but I highly recommend the Afternoon Tea at the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes in Orlando. They have a cute kids version too. The lounge is beautiful and fancier than disney and the food is delicious and very filling.

I wanted to do tea on our recent Fantasy cruise and was disappointed it was no longer offered. My daughter (10) and I had tea at the Garden View Tea room this past Thursday and had a wonderful time. It was the best meal of our trip and that included all of our meals on the Fantasy. My daughter finished a pot of tea on her own and I think ate all of the food that was offered and she is not a big eater. Wish they would bring something like this back to the ships.

I booked tea at Disney and couldn't wait to spill the beans. My DD is excited, but then again, she saw the pictures of the strawberries and was definitely in. I think we will go with Disney this time because it's easy, but keep the recommendation for other venues. Then we will be able to compare.

Greetings...another suggestion is The Royal Tea at the Waldorf Astoria Bonnet Creek on Sunday afternoon. They also have a children's tea and it's quite convenient if your staying on Disney property.

You and your DD will love the Garden View Tea at the GF. That is a must whenever we visit Disney or Orlando. The strawberries and cream are my favorite. The scones with Devonshire Cream are also fabulous, (tip: ask for more Devonshire Cream and they will usually bring you more). You can never have enough Devonshire Cream.:)
