Midwesterners buying at Aulani??

Our family of six vacationed at Aulani in a two bedroom for three nights in the beginning of January. We absolutely loved the resort and villas. I own at BLT and BCV for a total of 315 points. I am thinking of adding on enough points to go once every three years. I think getting in during prime time at the seven month window will be very difficult. We are in our mid fifties so we may be a bit old to add another contract. Air is high from Chicago. But we really loved it and to stay anywhere on Oahu is very expensive. Any thoughts? Are those subsidized dues contracts being ROFR? Thanks for your help!

We have yet to go to Aulani (we are going this summer) but have wondered the same thing. We also had a difficult time booking at the 7 month mark. We would only want to go to Hawaii every 3 years at most but would/could use the points at WDW at 7 months too.

Until the resort is built out and all of the DVC units turned over to the DVC, future availability is a best guess. Sales thus far have been slow. The cost there is high as is the cost of travel to get there. At WDW there is so much to do, at Aulani, there is, well, Aulani.

Hi-

I live on the West Coast and spent 1 week at Aulani last September. I am also on the hunt for an Aulani Contract. We would probably go every 2 years. I exchanged emails with Jason at the TSS last week and he said they have only had success with the subsidized dues contracts. No ROFR's yet! Goodluck!!

Have you checked the Fidelity site? They have quite a few Aulani contracts listed in various sizes and the prices look decent.

That may indicate that Aulani owners are selling already.

Disney has a business arrangement with and refers sellers to Fidelity.
