Hi,

I have looked around but at present can't find an answer so I apologise if these two questions have been answered.

We plan to get a dinning plan for when we travel Jan'14 the two children are aged 10 and 12 when we travel, however both are variable eaters i.e. sometimes they would like a large meal and sometimes a smaller one.

Can we
Pay for 2 adult meals from the dining plan and if one or both children decide they only want a small meal pay for that OOP?

Also could the children order from the Kids menu if they preffered if we were paying OOP?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Yes to all your questions. You could also order one adult meal for them to split, if there was a meal they'd like but not want an entire meal for each of them. Or if there is an appetizer they might like instead of the full meal, you could pay cash for an app & beverage for the kids...or pay cash for childs meals. You can always order food & pay cash in addition to using dining plan entitlements. Some restaurants will also allow adults (and kids that are "Disney adults") to order kids meals with adult credits...they just increase the amount of the entree & veggies, usually. For example, one restaurant allowed an 18 yr old with us to order the kids meal macaroni & cheese...they just brought her a huge serving of it (probably 4 X the regular kids meal serving.) They put it on a regular adult entree plate (not in the Mickey shaped plate, lol.) If you do pay cash for some of their smaller meals, keep in mind that all the adult credits on your room are "pooled", not assigned to specific persons so anyone in the room can use those credits. So if you end up with enough extra meal credits, you may have enough to do a 2-credit restaurant.

Many thanks for your answer.

I was hoping that was the case and the idea was to use the extra table meals for a double required meal if we could
