Dinner at Sanaa.....too dark to see the animals?

On the day we arrive, we have planned a dinner at sanaa, I've been seeing some posts that lunch is better for seeing the animals as it's obviously during the day.
We will be there the last week of may, our reservation is for 5:15pm, will it still be pretty light out so we can see the animals? I'm assuming since it's close to summer, we won't have a problem with it being dark. But just wanted to make sure.

I'd think you'd have at least an hours worth of daylight left at that time of the year.

We had a 5:30 seating on Tuesday and I'd say we had daylight for a good half hour at least. Never been at lunch so can't compare, but we saw several giraffes, and they came quite close so it was great viewing. Also some other animals and birds, but the giraffes were the highlight. Be aware though that there are relatively few window tables, although you can still see some from several other tables, I think.

If you google "florida sunset may", you will see that the sun doesn't go down until after 8pm the last week of May. Have fun.

Thanks, Were hoping for a table seat but know were not guaranteed one. I think I saw pics from another table and you could see the animals a little. Either way we'll be happy to try Sanaa, and we could go to another spot to see the animals.
Thanks for the replies.

From the OP's ticker it looks like there will be plenty of sunlight left at that time of year.

For the benefit of others considering Sanaa, my wife and I did this on one of the shortest days of the year last month. We were seated about 5:30 and had probably 20 minutes of good viewing before the lighting essentially turned the windows into mirrors. We were still able to see some things but it is much better in daylight.

I am eating at Sanaa in very early June at 5:00 PM and was told by a Disney "expert" that 5 pm (or 5:15 PM) at that time of year is a great time to be able to see animals.

You'll have plenty of daylight at that time and be able to see the animals just fine. It's a wonderful experience. We ate there for the first time this past summer and really enjoyed it. We timed our reservation just after 5 as you have and it worked out perfectly. Enjoy!

Go a little early and go out side to the viewing area before you eat. There is a CM available to answer questions and you can usually get some good pictures. Then, go in and enjoy a wonderful meal!
