How do Little League uniforms run?

My son is 7 and will be starting LL for the first time this spring. I have to order the order form and I want to make sure to get the right size. Does anyone know if they typically run small, big or true to size? Thanks!!

Every Little League is different, I think. Usually you can buy the pants at any sporting goods store and the t-shirt or jersey would be whatever size he normally wears. At least that's always been my experience.

We never had to order a uniform. As you say, we bought the pants at a sporting goods store. When they were very young (5-8 maybe?) they just had different color t-shirts for the different teams. As they got older and got sponsors the shirts became a bit fancier but it still wasn't anything we ordered. The coach would show up with a bunch in the back of his car and handed out the biggest ones he had to the biggest kids and worked down until the smallest kids got the smallest ones. Sometimes the uniform was too big, sometimes it was a little tight, but it always worked out OK. My son just stopped playing last year at age 11 so this is not like ancient history.

Our League always has samples of each size to try on. Or find out who they are buying their uniforms from and go there and try one on.
