Best Character Dining for small children?

We've been to all the character dining spots but never with a child before. We'll be taking our baby for her first birthday in July..are any of the character meals better for small kids/babies? The only one I could think that she might get to overloaded at is Chef Mickey's, it has always been packed and loud every time we've gone. Thanks!

Hollywood & Vine for breakfast is a good one. We ate there with our 3 year old almost right when they opened up. There was hardly anyone there!

Another good one for first thing is the Crystal Palace.

I was actually going to suggest Chef Mickey's because of the stimulation. Pretty much any character dining option is loud. Garden Grill was quieter with good character interaction, but it's more family oriented as opposed to kid-friendly (if that makes sense).

Completely forgot about the Garden Grill! I agree, this would be a good choice as well.

Crystal Palace, Garden Grill and Chef Mickey's are all great for little one's!

The last time I ate at the Crystal palace, I observed that Pooh and the gang were very good with babies and their parents.

When both my DS was 3 months we took him to chef mickey and even though he slept the entire time Mickey still made it a point to interact with him. My my DS is 3 and we have another 3 month old..on that trip we did Ohana's Breakfast and that was also enjoyable with the kids. All of that characters made it a point to not ignore my 3 month old even when my 3 year old wanted all the attention :lmao:

We went to 1900 Park Fare for dinner with my 6mth old and DD7 at the time. My son loved the stepsisters. Our favorite memories from that trip was him trying to stick his hands down their dresses. They were great with him and did spend time interacting with both if my children.

We don't have kids but our favorite is Tusker House. Good character interaction and just a unique atmosphere. Our least favorite is Ohana breakfast. Bad and minimal food selections for a hefty price. Plus the characters took a long time to get to us.

We actually liked the Ohana breakfast because the characters took longer (didn't feel like we were being rushed in and out). And my kids loved the "parade" that the characters took them on around the restaurant :).

I think our youngest liked Crystal Palace the most of all our breakfasts (others were Ohana, Tusker House, CRT, 1900 Park Fare & Akershus). The characters there really interacted with her a lot and she loved them.

Our 12-mo old's favorite character meals were Crystal Palace and Hollywood and Vine. (And CRT- the princesses were kissing all over him!!!!!!)

I would recommend Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. My youngest two children were 2 and 4 years old on our last trip and the atmosphere and character interaction at both locations was perfect for them. Although we haven't done the Disney Jr character meal at Hollywood & Vine, I've heard that the character interaction is great there and the characters there are perfect for little ones who are into Disney Jr programming.

I took ds to Cape May Cafe for a birthday breakfast. I liked it because it wasn't too loud or crazy busy at all, the characters each came around twice while we were there.
