A really, really stupid post-marathon ride question

Ok so I plan on going to Epcot after the marathon. Is it safe to ride Mission: Space?

See, told you it was stupid! :lmao:

I'm not sure it's safe to ride Mission:Space BEFORE the marathon...

Seriously, I don't know of any specific reason why you couldn't ride it, other than you may not feel like it. You'll know how you feel, and everyone's different. Some people are hungry after a marathon, and some people have trouble eating for a while. Listen to your body.

What he said!
If you did it before and feel like doing it then you go for it!

I was thinking of blood clots and aneurisms, etc. With all that blood pooling in the legs....thought it might be a concern with that ride in particular. Wasn't even thinking of the "how I feel part of it".

Epcot after the race will be "Do or don't do, there is no try." :lmao:

I would really think about it hard. If you come out of the race a little dehydrated and the body has still not fully recovered you may easily get a little motion sick. I would never think it possible, but I once got sick about 23 hours after a race on Universe of Energy. Seriously.

Seriously, I wouldn't, mostly for the fact of feeling sick afterwards. However you know your body best, and you might be able to handle it. After the TOT 10 miler, I went on Toy Story Mania, ended up puking in the cab on the ride back to the resort.

Whatever you do, just listen to your body and go with how it feels :)

I guess like others have said, wait and see how you feel after the race. It is going to be a warmer day that most of us are probably hoping for and frankly heat illness can sneak up on anyone no matter how prepared they are.

Remember there is an easy and a more extreme side to the ride. You could take the easy side.

Personally, I plan on visiting Germany a few times first (if you know what I mean), then hitting Mission Space.

I don't think it was a stupid question at all. I hadn't even thought about it being a problem, but I'm the type that can get motion sick very easily. I've barfed on most modes of transportation. We haven't really talked about our plans for post race on either day, except we have to keep up and about.
