Which resort would you pick?

We're currently booked at the Poly and absolutely love the Poly. Having stayed there the past 3 times, I'm ready for a change! We spend the majority of our time at EPCOT so I'm leaning towards BC or YC. Which would you pick and why?

I think they are both excellent choices and you cannot go wrong with either choice. For me I prefer the YC. It is quieter than the BC, I enjoy the theme, and I do believe all the rooms will have a full size balcony where as many at the BC do not. Some will tell you the BC is closer to Epcot, and while this may be true, it is only a couple of hundred yards distance and maybe a two minute walk longer.

Plus you can take a 15 minute walk to DHS from either BC or YC. The Epcot resorts, for me, are the most convenient for this reason: you can walk to and from 2 parks.

bc - it is the closest to Epcot and definitely love it!
you are no more than 5 min walk to Epcot. Now studos the walk was further for me - around 24 minutes.
so mostly take the boat - not at YC - but over at Epcot - now this only works if you are staying in the resort near Epcot - if you are closer to YC - then walk over to their dock for the boat.

remember to walk under the bridge not over - unless you need the exercise.

We've only stayed at the BC, but have visited the YC many times. With that said, they are both beautiful resorts and we are trying the YC for the first time next summer. I look at the BC as being like the Poly (very laid back, fun atmosphere with alot of kids), while the YC feels like the GF to me (not as busy, although still has kids, and a more elegant atmosphere). Good luck deciding, but I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

We love YC and BC ::yes:: I think you'd love it over there! :thumbsup2 YC does have more full balconies as someone already mentioned, but boy I sure do love being so close to the International Gateway when we're at BC. They are both great! Maybe just look at some pictures and see which one appeals to you more. Good luck planning! :)

my problem with the YC - was they gave me a lagoon view - great - then the walk - it to me was a long, long walk and yes stay at BW alot - but it did not have the exit that BW did.

it was beautifully, - but don't be fooled - kids stay here too and they run and jump and scream just as much here as at BC.

while we were there - YC had a small wedding.

of course don't like the GF either.

I choose BC for the spring/summer trips and YC for the fall/winter trips. The BC has a brighter decor/theme than the YC. The YC just seems to appeal to us more when it's decked out for the holidays.

Are you talking about that last hallway down on the Dolphin side? I think the rooms are the lowest numbers... like X001, X002, etc.... I have always said they needed a set of elevators there. A lot of times we get off the boat at the S/D and walk over to YC via the front park of the Dolphin.

Thank you everyone for all the input!!! Both sound like great resorts and I can't wait to try one of them out. I still have not decided but leaning towards YC.

We've stayed at both. My preference would be the Beach Club. The Yacht Club is too sedate.

think so near the marina. If I remember there were steps ending near the boat dock - but they put on the 4 or 5th floor - with mother in a wheelchair - it was a long walk

The BC is one of my favorite resorts! You cannot go wrong with either one b/c they both have the great location and share the SAB pool. BC is very fun, colorful and exciting. I have never stayed at YC but it looks great also. I think you would b happy with either. Have an amazing trip! :)

YC :thumbsup2 Mind you I haven't stayed at BC, I do LOVE BC decor, BUT...

YC staff was above and beyond (on par with WL & GF) and it was definitely a more relaxing resort...JMHO :goodvibes

Yeah YC! I chose YC as they have more full balconies and patios, which are a deal breaker for us. I would not be happy with a Juliet balcony or none at all. I requested 1st floor, close to lobby and day bed. We got 2/3, 1st floor and a day bed. We were far from the lobby and pool. I was still ok with our room, but it did make quite a long trek from our room to fill our mugs or take a quick dip in the pool.

If you can book a water view room, watching Illuminations at night from our patio was lovely! We enjoyed it very much and like our view of the BW at night.

YC is farther from IG, but only 1-2 minutes more. Worth the extra time for us.

I cannot agree with this more. I mentioned many will state a "BIG" advantage the BC has over the YC is it's location to IG. For me, 200 yards of additional walking is no big deal. Besides, that 200 yards is made up since the YC is closer to the boat launch for those who use the boat instead to go to DHS. Either way, they are both excellent resorts. :)

Oh yeah, an extra 200 yards is no big deal for us. I do have a question about EMH in EPCOT. Since the EMH in the morning is for Futureworld, will they still let you enter through IG and walk to the left towards Futureworld? In the past when we have gone to EPCOT for EMH in the morning they have had WS blocked off.

Still booked at Poly but leaning towards YC!!!

Yes they will let you in at the IG just walked to the left past England.

We have stayed at both BC and YC. They are both beautiful and relaxing resorts. If getting something to eat(Counter Service) at the resort is important to you then BC has the Marketplace. The YC doesn't have a CS.

Full balcony is important to us. If you decide on BC just make a request. That's what we did. Not only did we get the full balcony, we also were upgraded to Club Level.
