My daughter and I will be cruising 1/18/13 on our second Disney cruise together. My third DCL trip. My first was on Magic. I am hoping that some of the same DCL Cast members are still on the ship.

Welcome aboard!

We sailed on the Magic just this past May. I put a request in for our MDR server and my teenage boys are itching to find out if their favorite counselors from Vibe are still on the ship. The boys loooooved how inclusive they were vs. what they experienced on the Dream in Sept. 2011. I'm hoping at least 1 is still there.

question.... I have parasailing booked (castaway) and I probably can't go now how late can I wait to cancel? that and a pedicure booked... can I wait till we get on the ship or will that be too late? My pedicure is booked the day after the parks.

You can cancel the parasailing up to 3 days prior to sailing, I think. The pedi I'm not sure of but I'd treat it the same just to be safe.

I am wondering just how crowded this boat is...maybe it wont be as crowded as we think.

Also, is anyone else a bit OCD about the kids getting sick before or during the trip? we have had a sick Nov. /Dec with stomach flu, head cold and fever virus...i hope our immune systems are good and strong after fighting all this off over the last two months.

I am totally paranoid! The flu is running rampant around here. We've had our flu shots but people are getting the flu even after having been vaccinated. We have not had the stomach virus yet so that makes me nervous too. Yikes!! And our dds go back to school Monday.

We are paranoid too, but we were all sick earlier so fingers crossed! I kept meaning to get us in for flu shots but I don't know where the time went. DD isn't in school yet, but the kids at et day home go back Monday, so hopefully they don't bring stuff back!

I think the ship is pretty full. Still, all the reviews I've read say that with the smaller ships even sold out cruises don't feel like it. Everyone is so spread out. It should be okay.

I'm not even thinking about being sick. Ugh!

Hi everyone! We booked last Thrusday for this cruise and could not be more excited!! There will be my husband James, myself Nikki, and our daughters Hailey 12, Maddison 5. We have been to Disney World once about 4 1/2 years ago but this will be our first cruise ever. Our travel agent and friend told me about this forum so I thought I would check it out! Please forgive me if I am not doing this right, like I said first time here

Nikki, I just found this website and we have daughters about the same age who will be looking for friends. One is Addison, 12 and the other (Aubree) will be turning 6 on the 23rd. Maybe they can meet up?

As far as I know, there are no other meets besides the one you set up.

I think they told us to go to baggage claim and a representative would meet us there. They seemed a little confused which made me nervous. Anyone else doing this? Getting so excited for our girls only cruise. We've been to Disneyworld several times but this is the first cruise for all of us! Any help or tips would be appreciated!

We had discussed earlier (here or Facebook) having a meet at Harbour House the night before. We will have about 8 hrs of driving on Thursday so I don't know what time we will arrive at the Hotel. Does everyone want to shoot for around 6pm in the lobby or should we allow more time for dinner? We could also do before dinner and could go as a group for dinner. What does everyone think?

The meet is very informal at best. All we have planned so far is to meet up in the Promenade Lounge at 3:00 on embarkation day to be able to introduce ourselves and put some faces with names. You're welcome to come along!

Thanks! I appreciate it. Is anyone else interested in setting up a few tentative meets maybe on at-sea days? On our last Magic cruise we did a pre-lunch meet on an at-sea day so everyone could go to lunch together or split into 2 groups for lunch (one going to the sit-down & the other to Topsiders for the buffet). We didn't make it to that meet personally but I thought it was a good idea.

I've not paid attention to the juice for mixers. I mix sweet tea vodka with tea, coconut rum with diet coke, & the hubby mixes his Crown with diet coke.
