Costco 3 Day Tickets

I saw them in our Costco today for 134.99. I asked if I could get a price adjustment for the ones I bought before Christmas for 146.99 and they said to bring the receipt and tickets in. When I went back to Costco with the tickets, the Costco employee said the item numbers were different. She said I could return the old ones and buy the new ones. I went to buy the new ones and realized they expire this year instead of 2015 (I know it has been posted here already, but unfortunately I had not seen those postings). I went back to see if I could get my old tickets back, and they said they were no longer in the system and I would have to buy the new ones. :worried: I was a bit distressed because our plan was to use one day in a couple of weeks and then use two days next year or in 2015. Fortunately, I asked if they could just void my return and I could have my tickets back. They said the tickets had not been deactivated and they would just void the return. It took about 45 minutes of getting managers, but they were great.

It could have been a very costly mistake and it would have been all my fault, so I'm posting just to encourage people to carefully check the expiration dates. The new ones are not the same as the old ones (at least at our Costco)!

Glad they were able to switch them out for you!

I checked at my Costco today in IL and could not find them anywhere (didn't ask). I will check the location by my work next week. Hopefully, they just didn't make them to the floor yet.

I guess the short expiration is reflected in the price.

Right. I thought I was so smart going back to Costco to save $48 for about 10 minutes of effort - I figured it would buy us lunch at Universal. It ended up taking 45 minutes and I was grateful to have the opportunity to pay the higher price to get my tickets back! :rotfl2:

Costco does have great customer service - they didn't have to let me have the tickets back. :thumbsup2

I bought them in costco in puerto rico where i live. they expire december 2013, but we are going next week so that doesnt matter to us .

They sure do. I've seen people take back poinsettia plants after Christmas, lol.

We found these yesterday at our Costco in Raleigh, NC. I had been planning on getting them for our late June trip before Christmas, but when I went the week before, they didn't have them. Just checked yesterday when we were there on the off chance and were glad to see they had them! The online deal doesn't work for us, as we intend to use 2 days at the very end of June and the 3rd in July after returning from cruising.

They are the 2013 expiry date tickets - since that seems to be what's getting sold at Costcos across the country now, I would be surprised if the 2015 exipiry tickets show up again anywhere. But these work for us as our plans were all for this year anyway. I was kind of surprised to see them at all, given the opening of the new ride this summer.

I am so excited! This was the last piece for our summer vacation, and if we hadn't found them at Costco, I would have ended up paying slightly more for 2 day tickets from Universal and been slightly annoyed at having to do so. ;)

I checked the costco in NJ today, at least one of the ones close to me and no tixs ..:( wonder if there is a way to tell who has them?

Just went to the Costco by my work in IL and they did not have them. I asked Customer Service and they said they did not have them but would check to see if anyone in the Midwest had them - the response was no - there is nothing coming up in the system. So, back at work and I decided to call the Costco by my house ( I went there on Saturday and didn't see them). The gal on the phone said yes, they have them! $134.99, 3 day park to park! So, I will head over there later this week and hopefully she was correct! So, I would suggest calling all Costco's in your area before heading out searching!

When you get them, can you post the expiration date?

I saw them at the Limerick Costco in PA. They expire Dec 15 2013. It said it in pretty big print on the back of the cardboard, not the fine print like before. They were $134.99 and the ad on the front stated "3 Days for less than the cost of a 2 day ticket", or something to that extent. I think the big draw for the previous costco tickets was the ability to use them one or 2 days at a time over the course of a few years. This deal seems like just an extension of their buy 2 days get the 3rd day free.

I was able to get these today at the Naperville, IL location. I could not find them anywhere on the floor so I went to Member Services to ask about them. They looked them up and they said they had 73 left and I should just go to a register and they would ring them up. They expire 12-15-13. So pumped as we will use 2 days in March and another day in July!

So, if you don't see them on the floor definitely ask at a register!

Love this board!

You can use these over the course of this year unlike the current buy 2 get 1 free deal which expires 14 days after first use and completely by June 30, 2013.

I've been watching at Costco for these tix and it never occured to me to ask. I just called the Middleton, WI store and the have them. Thank you!!!

:jumping1:

I found them yesterday at the Costco in Eden Prairie, MN. They were $134.99 with no additional tax. They expire on December 15, 2013. They had just gotten them and it took them about 20 minutes to find them. We leave in 2 weeks!

Can someone clarify for me?

Are the ones with 2015 expire still need to be used by June 30th of this year? Or are they available to use anytime until the end of 2015??

They are "valid any 3 days until 12/15/13"
$134.99 each, no tax

My Costco location only had a total of 25 to sell and the sale person said they just got them in yesterday.

The only tickets that need to be used by June 30th of this year are the ones purchased in the regular buy 2 get 1 free promotion through Universal or undercovertourist, etc. Those tickets are NOT sold at Costco.

The old costco ones are non-expiring until 2015.

The new costco ones are non-expiring until the end of this year.
