Torn on what to do

Just cancelled AoA package and booked BC. So very excited. Doing the happy dance :cool1:

You will love the BC. It's our favorite (except maybe for DD who loves AKL but it's just not as convenient). The Dining Plan does not work for us. I have run the numbers for us when we added the DP (4 "Disney Adults"...our kids are 11 and 13) and we always come out cheaper paying OOP plus the Dining Plan is too much food for us and we feel compelled to try to get our moneys worth. Plus the flexibility without the DP is nice. You may want to just go for desserts one night at Beaches and Cream for example.

Just curious though...which discount were you not able to add dining too. I booked BC yesterday with the new promotion and the room was discounted 30% and the park tickets were also discounted and it gave me the option of adding the DP.

Barnhill9586, I saw the discount mentioned on the discounts board for August. It is through magical Vacations and is not even on their website. I emailed them yesterday and they sent me a quote this morning

With this discount you can not add the dining plan on which is ok. I priced out the Beach Club and park tickets on the website and it was $4427.78 so a huge discount. I am really tempted to book it

Unless you are a big foody who needs alot of TS meals, do the BC!!! It's a no brainer IMO.

Think of the benefits. Walk into EPCOT! Priceless! Boat to HS! Priceless! Boardwalk in the evenings! Priceless! Storm Along Bay! Priceless!

You get my point!

:thumbsup2

Yes, you can add the dining plan to your package. I just switched my May ressie to the BC and have a tickets and deluxe dining plan package.

Right now I have a package booked for AoA Little Mermaid room end of August with park tickets and dining plan for $3650.00.

I was going to save money and stay off site saving about $1500.00

I can book the Beach Club (my dream place to stay) with park tickets but no dining plan for $2600.00.

Which would you choose and why?

Thanks

Although I LOVE the look of AoA, the pricing of it just makes it a tad bit ridiculous. They call it a value resort? :confused3

I would go with the BC and no dining plan. We've outgrown the dining plan now and find it's cheaper to eat what we want and pay OOP.

We stayed at the BC for the first time in August and loved it. Great theming!

We were in the same boat but trying to decided between POR or BWI, we were going to add the dinning plan. We chose BWI cl it was cheaper that way with the new discounts.

I bought an annual pass last march, and then was able to purchase the TIW card for 75$ I think the price has gone up, I went with a friend from work for a few days in OCT. and going end of Feb with 37% room discount , so it definitely paid off. I know that my kids can order kids meals if they choose or we can order apps and share a meal I don't like the dining plan and feeling restricted.

I see you are in MA, same as me. How did you get the TiW card?
