Is it difficult to arrive at FW at night. Coming into pop up camper already set up by a company so no set up worry. Will likely be around 8pm and in oct
Howdy! In just a few short weeks, we will be arriving back to the Fort. I saw this thread and wanted to know what a night-time arrival would be like for us, too. We will be arriving late Sat, 2/2, and saw that BamaEd had some insight. Because I like to know what to expect, it sounds like the check-in lanes will be pretty open and arriving late is not an issue. Anything else we should consider?
Forgot to mention we will be in an RV.
Well Ed says use your common sense.
It depends on what time you arrive. You should use common courtesy - if it's late (say after 10pm) then only do a minimal set up (maybe plug in the RV to the power post, extend your slides, and leave any other unpacking or outdoor activity until after breakfast. Some of your fellow campers may be in tents, popups, or might even hear loud noises inside their RV or TT.
As I said, they usually keep one lane open in the evening. If it's WAY late you may have to go inside to check in.
It's kinda neat to come in at night because you can't really see a whole lot (other than what's in the headlights). The dawn brings my favorite time to the Fort.
