Hi Everyone . I’ve been on the DIS for quite a while, but usually in the form of a lurker, and not really a poster. However, I really love reading trip reports & looking at everyone’s pictures & stories. I figured I’d finally give writing my own trip report a go since I finally had a fun story to tell …… So here’s goes nothing!!
I’ll introduce myself and my family first, then I’ll tell you our One More Disney Day story ..
I’m Jennifer (but usually just Jen). I never did much traveling as a child and never got to do Disney growing up (tragic, right?), but don’t worry… I have been busy making up for my childhood Disney absence now as an adult! I love all things Disney, as well as photography, blogging & scrapbooking. I usually read all sorts of Disney websites daily and love daydreaming about and planning our next Disney trip (even when we don’t have one booked). Since we live in Nevada, we mostly go to DL, but we’ve also been to WDW once in 2010.
DBF – Andy. We’ve been together 7+yrs. On the outside, he pretends he doesn’t love Disney, but I know he really does, (really!). He enjoys the rides & food, but most importantly enjoys the fact that I super-plan all our trips, and all he has to do is show up. Besides all that, our trips get him out of work, so what’s not to love??? He really is a trooper though, and puts up with all my Disney obsessions (which probably only got worse after OMDD )
DS – Tyler. He’s 11 and a really great kid (and not just because I'm saying so). His first trip to DL was when he was 3 years old, and he’s always loved Disney.. Now that he’s older, according to him the taller, faster and/or wetter the ride, the better. This year he wrote in a school essay that I was a “psycho Disney mom”. I hope his teacher understood he meant psycho in the good way. (full disclosure - That essay was written during the Mom's Panel application process, (Round2 for me this year) so I'm quite sure psycho could've been partially accurate, LOL.)
DD (as in Daughter/slash/Dog) - Rylee. She is a yellow lab. I can't believe I almost forgot to include her here. She is the one thing I probably have as many photos of as Disney. Our Ryles is probably the only reason we don't do DL more -- She is such an important part of our family & so completely spoiled... The boys always miss her terribly whenever we're away.
Here we are at our last stay at the Grand Californian:
