Just happened to catch the details of this 3 and 4 night Disney Dream deal on my facebook newsfeed. Is this an amazing deal? It seems like it to me, although I am a pretty clueless about DCL and have never been on a cruise.

I know this is "hurricane" season, so that is probably why the discount is offered. We will already be at disney (DVC'ers) from Sept 7th to 14th.

Should I try and talk my DH into the 4 night ($499) cruise afterward on 9/15? :scratchin

Fall is typically slow season...most kids are in school. Actually September is my favorite time to cruise as the weather is warm but not hot, the seas are warm, etc. It is always a good idea to add a DCL cruise to a WDW stay!

June through November is hurricane season, so this special isn't because of that. Really it is because the kids start school. I just switched my California Sept cruise to this one because it is such a good deal!! Got a Cat 7 verandah for 2 Adults Aug 25 for $1550 which includes insurance and transfers! Plus $150 in shipboard credits. That is a great deal considering we have been to the Bahamas alot and won't spend anything on excursions.

yeah, I really hope my DH wants to go! And this is on the Dream, and it's a new ship, right?

How much is a "throw it out there number" typical/usual 4 night bahama cruise this time of year (Aug/Sep) when there is no "sale" (just wondering)

thanks everyone, and thanks for the info nyck! you guys are awesome, you are instigators, but you're awesome! LOL :thumbsup2

Our 4 night late sept (now member cruise) was a little over $1500 for a 5c for 2 adults with the 10% booking discount. I just compared our oct 3 night with a sept 3 night using this discount. With our 10% on board discount, the oct cruise is about $50 cheaper for 5c, 2 adults, without the on board discount, the new Sept rate would save us about $100.

Wow. I priced out family of 4 with one room and family of four with two rooms. Two rooms came out LESS!

With the DMR code I priced out 1 room with 4 people, then I priced out 2 rooms with two people each. The 2 rooms were less.

It makes no sense, but it's there. You just have to check all combinations and categories to find the best deal. Don't assume one category is cheaper than the other because it is a "higher" category.

This is for Sept 22, 4 night, 2 adults, 2 children (both age 10):

$2076=1 Deluxe Oceanview 9D
$2176=1 Nav. Veranda 7A
$2230=2 standard insides 11C
$2402=1 standard inside 11B

ETA-You'll notice the categories above are the obstructed view/limited size oceanviews and balconies. It appears those are the ones they are deeply discounting.

When I saw this code I called and moved from a verandah to a navigators verandah and saved $870 plus got $100 in shipboard credit. We are excited!

that is a huge savings!

you guys are all a great help as always. I'll let you know if we do this! My DH's initial comment (besides "we'll talk about it tonight") was - Can I go fishing? Sure, hunny! of course you can! (at least I'm sure he can, right?) although I'll bet that $1550 for 2 people just got a little steeper, huh - ;)

There was also a travelzoo deal today for a 4 night on the Magic, $580 each + KSF. This was for the April 16 sailing out of Galveston, although it said other sailings may be available. This would be about $1300 for a family of 4!!

Does anyone know if this offer is very limited? I'm looking for 8/25 and it doesn't show up under any stateroom category. I've tried with us as a group of 4, or as separated into 2 and 2. I'm guessing it just sold out, but when you only put 2 people in, there is a lot of category availability. Any ideas?
