We have only been on one 3 day & one 4 day DC. Next month, we will be on the 8 night out of Galveston! :dance3:

I will be at the spa & the adult pool.....I know that much. :goodvibes

What are some other things we should do?

ETA: It will be me, DH, DD 11, DD 6, DS 5 & the in-laws. :D

popcorn::
we loved the 'Mickey 3000(?) car race made from a potato and a carrot! Lots of fun. Kids also enjoyed towel folding - they made lots of them for our room steward.:goodvibes
We're new to this so looking forward to hearing people's favourite things to do.

Yeah-our two other cruises were with no kids-we left them at home. We are excited for them to have fun stuff like this to do.

I have one kiddo that will likely love the towel folding. Might even want to buy a book on it.

Another one might get into the car race.

Our last one doesn't need any activities but the pool, lol!

The pools will be very crowded on sea days, particularly in the afternoons.

DH enjoyed the towel-folding. There's also Bingo. DD enjoyed the extra programming at the Club - Cinderella visited to read a story and do a craft. The theater will show movies. I took this time to relax!

Our 6 YO won't care how crowded the pools are-but I may use the afternoons to visit the spa on sea days....tough decisions. :rotfl:

Palo brunch

Movies in the theater

Walking laps around deck 4, or lounging in the chairs there for a read or watch the view.

Sitting up on deck with a cappucino and pastries in the comfy chairs near the coffee shop enjoying the view or a book.

Leisurely sit down breakfast or lunch in Lumiere's.

Boardgames and snacks in Diversions.

Taking your time going through the shops.

Go to a special talk or program. We sat in the back during a talk on diamond shopping, and although we weren't going to buy diamonds, found it very interesting.

Sit in the atrium and watch the world go by.

Go to the future cruise desk, get a brochure and dream.

Nap.

Sleep extra late.

Sit out on the verandah with a good book.

Take a nap.

Yep, I'm a slug on a cruise.

What kinds of talks/programs have there been?

Sounds delightful! (we are booked for Palo brunch-we've done that before, & it is lovely!)

First - woohoo! - 8days - how fun!

we got up early and walked/ran deck 4, bfast at lumiere's, adult pool, towel folding, wine tasting.

Next time I would probably do the same.

have fun choosing how to spend those sea days! :cool1:

We enjoyed the animation drawing classes.

DH likes to "bake" in the sun

I like to knit and watch the ocean go by.

I loved the drawing classes with Ponz on the EBPC. I know I can buy the same book they gave him to learn to draw all the characters but I know I will never do it on my own. There is something therapeutic about drawing that I love!

If you have the spa covered already, then I would read by the pool, bingo, beer tasting, trivia games, movies either on deck or in the theater. Most important relax and have fun!!

Sitting in the adult area with a drink (or two...). Kinda fall asleep with the sun, got a major sunburn.

We did a cooking lecture.

Art of Entertainment (cooking demos) - they usually have 3 of them appetizer, entree and dessert.

Art of the Theme ship tour. Tour showing the decorative themes of the Magic

Tastings. We have done the Martini, Margarita and Champagne.

Are there minimum age requirements for the animation classes?

They usually hold one for adults and one for the family. If it's the same character, Ponz usually uses a different perspective like a profile or something like that to differentiate the classes a bit.
