Room 5532

Just found out that we were assigned to Room 5532, verandah, starboard. This is the deck where the Buena Vista Theatre and kids clubs are located. We realize that we booked VGT and were prepared to be happy with anything that we got, but we're curious, will this be a noisy area? What category is it? Does anyone have any info on this room?

we got 5516 and I heard its actually more on the quiet side..... we will see I guess.

We were 5522 last August and thought it was super quiet. No through traffic there.

Just did some more sleuthing on the cruise blog and it looks like 5532 is a category 4E. It's just the two of us but they gave us a family stateroom with verandah.

We were in 5516 for the MV and LOVED the location! There are several turns in the hallway that help to keep kids from running down the hallway, which might help to keep it quiet in that area. We only saw other guests in the hall twice that week! It was very quiet in the room, but we were not in there during the shows. If you have a kid and are in the room during the matinee for a nap, you might heard the noise from the WDT below, but otherwise it won't affect you since during showtimes at night most people are either at dinner or the show themselves.

It's a 4E, which is a nice assignment, considering you could have had a 6 :). We stayed in a 4E and enjoyed it. We were the first room next to the kids' club, so yes, we had serious (loud) traffic at night. But you are nowhere near where we were so you should be much quieter. And you have a big verandah to enjoy! I'd say your gamble on a VGT paid off!

Our first cruise on the Dream was in stateroom 5528. Overall, it was a great location. The only slight issue was some noise from the Buena Vista Theater, but it didn't bother us, as the times of the movies were not when we were sleeping. Last time, we selected stateroom 5550, and we didn't hear any noise from the Theater, however, it was very close to the elevators, and there was some noise (?teens) late at night.

You were actually closer to the Buena Vista Theater in 5550. 5528 is over the WDT, where just the main stage shows are performed. The BVT has moving playing until after midnight so that area midship would be affected by the noise from the movies later. Looking at the deck plan closer, only 5552 should be affected by the BVT since the theater starts after the elevators.
