Fwiw, the concierge sundeck is not above the cabins unfortunately. The concierge sun deck is above the lounge, kitchen, crew areas.
The cabins on deck 12 are below deck 13 which are public, adult only decks.
The wife heard some noise twice early am that woke her. I never heard squat. I would think/hope/guarentee they are a little more careful with the chair movement/noise on 13 in the wee hours due to being over the suites.
We were in a Cat T. 12526. We brought way too much onboard. We never used; over door organizer, extension cords, clothespins somehow
, tape of any sorts, night lights, we only ate half the junk too, or the little fan we brought somehow. We did use the the power cord thingy we brought with multiple outlets and a few usb outlets - we set it up on little desk by Murphy bed. We had many devices to charge, including a couple usb ones. Never used any extension cords, there are many outlets in said suite, some are 220v, most 120 v. If in suite no need for extension cords- trust me, well unless you have a 220v device.
Ironically we did use the large post it notes DD brought to post on mirror in hallway to communicate with everyone including room host. We actually got .. redact.
What are bungees used for? Oh wait I know. To secure doors, cabinets, showers doors, pocket doors, etc. during heavy seas.
I could have used some little rubber angled door stops, that I did not bring, for the potential heavy seas.
HVAC - this is the area/topic/info I lacked prior, and many were requesting said info. In our cabin you could not hear the hvac fan. You could not feel the wind from the hvac fan, unless you placed you hand at ceiling near said slot. And even then it was a challenge to determine exactly where the wind was coming from.
If you think about it, it's amazing engineering for those who want a well functioning hvac unit, yet quiet performance. The hvac is forced air. The air is dispersed throughout the cabin from ONE of the gaps/reveals in the multi layered/soffited ceiling in each area. Nice... It was silent basically. IIRC we had three dial thermostats, Master bath, Master bedroom, Lvrm.
On the first night the master room seemed warm. I turned the dial down / counter clockwise about a 3/4 inch to activate the little light; meaning it is functioning / performing it's duties, and went to bed. I woke up 4 hours later frozen. The bedroom pocket / sliding doors were closed so ... I can assure you the temp dropped almost 20 degrees. OK perhaps due to sun down - whatever, it was freezing.
Be careful with the dial. It's very touchy. I played with it of course. If I turned it all the way up to high temp it would take only three or five minutes before it would respond to hot air blowing. And vise versa. The air flow though is very subtle. The rooms are small and it seems to flow from all the recessed ceilings in each area, so it performed much better than anticipated, once we overcame the learning curve., similar to the learning curve for the light switches.
We brought night lights, never used them. We just turned on a light in the bathrooms and manipulated the door as to how much light we desired. YMMV
We were behind the elevators. Never heard a peep. I thought the crew elevator would be in same area, NOT ! ! It was forward almost all the way. The service cart area was basically directly across from 12528, next door aft. They did tend to have the cart down there half the time, but that only made communication and sundry access that much more easy/ efficient.
Never bothered us once. Made for better camaraderie with room host, especially with my shy DD's.
And by the way, it is not one individual stateroom host that takes care of X # of rooms on deck 12. I learned on our sailing there is a main "Stateroom Host" and an assistant. That assistant has back up when needed. (Like when we sail, with our DDs, just kidding.) On our sailing our RH had one side, they rotate 12000 every other week. Occasionally they fight over it when a group books all the front rooms. Of course he said once they over served and got squat for tips, so.... it varies.
Sometimes it pays. Not always.
In other words, for those interested. The Concierge Level has three main stateroom hosts, two on deck twelve, one on deck eleven. All three have a full time assistant. That assistant / RH has accesses to another assistant as needed / requested. Oh no, this info in no way implies MORE TIPS, please no!
That was not my intention. I was only trying to share infrastructure data.
However, I do feel a suite RH deserver's twice the standard tip, IMHO.
We only needed ALL their help a few times.
We saw more of the assistant in the hall than we did of our stateroom host. We still had an unbelievable amount of contact with both, which I do feel is a result of the location; across the hall from their "closet". Any request - right out side your door.
Never heard a peep from the RH door that was across hall basically, fwiw.
At the end of halls on deck 12 there are doors you can exit out of. You cannot regain entry into those doors, but we loved being right next to door access to deck 12. Even though it was only 25 more feet, to access normally thru elevator lobby. From our door to deck 12 using hallway exit doors aft was 15 feet, "suite"
OK, so much for quick answers. I believe I did a mini trip report instead.
