*Sigh* I am so jealous of all your medals!! I have 2- the Princess and the TOT. None of the local races around here have finisher medals- just some sort of premium which is generally a cotton T-shirt I so wish there was more bling around here!!

Howdy Neighbor. I was going to run part of the Last Day marathon on the same course yesterday, then an antsy boss 'had' to have a couple questions answered by noon. Surprisingly, he was off by then.

What a holiday gift, not!

It was a tough trail course, but fun to run. I heard someone today call it a hard cross country course. I decided about 2 weeks ago to run it as a warm up for the Houston half. I am guessing this was a much harder run than that will be!

I guess yesterdays course was actually 14 miles for the half, and 28 for the full. They shortened it a little today, the half was only 13.5 miles long today!


That thing is huge, and I heard a couple of folks drop theirs, and it sounded like a manhole cover being dropped!

I just got my very first medal on November 17 - the St Augustine 10k!
I only started walking and running in February, so this medal means so much!

I can't wait to get that 2013 Princess bling, though!

Yes, I hung them on my tree! Left to right, St. Jude Memphis Half, Move It Memphis 5k, Happy Haunted 5k Trail Run, Elvis Presley 5k, and Tower of Terror 10 Miler.

This is my first year as a runner. I did my first 5k almost 3 years ago but I walked almost all of it. Back then I only ran through intersections where cars were waiting on me. So this year has been quite an accomplishment for me. Up next, Princess!

Below please find my 2012 runDisney collection as it hangs in my living room.

From Left to Right: Never Land 5K, Disneyland Half, Wine & Dine Half and Coast to Coast.

I do not race anywhere as much as some of my fellow posters. I've done a few other 5k and 10k races but they do not award finisher's medals.

The Never Land 5k medallion is special to me because that was the race that got me interested in running. RunDisney's sixteen minute mile pace requirement got me off the couch and out on the streets running.

I'm going to need to buy a bigger peg board for 2013 as I'm presently registered for the WDW Half and the Surf City Half. I intend to register for the Dumbo Dare at the expo for the WDW Marathon.
