1st November
I had booked a lunch ADR at Le Cellier for today as the intention was to have a lazy morning. This wasn't to be as the family upstairs were very early risers and once my kids are awake, they will not go back to sleep. We decided to head to Epcot earlier than intended. So off we went in the...car! I am happy to say that no other car journey was as traumatic as the first.
We headed straight for Nemo, which we all enjoyed.
And then decided tp ride Soarin'. This was absolutely fab. I had worried that it was too hyped and would be a disappointment. Put it this way, we all spontaneously applauded when we 'landed'. We had a wander around before heading to World Showcase and visiting the UK.
Where we bumped into a famous Nanny
And a couple of princesses
The queues were very orderly - no scrum or queue-jumping. Tiana was simply stunning.
Once we were finished, we headed back to Canada for our ADR.
Le Cellier
I wouldn't go mad about the theming of this restaurant. It felt a little claustrophobic. We waited a long time for a table, which was a little annoying. The food was good. I had the gnocchi, which I thoroughly enjoyed and Olivia ordered the same. She couln't face it, so the server took it away and replaced it with a plate of fries - thank god we were on the dining plan. Kev had the steak, which he said was OK. We had 3 adult desserts so ordered: the cheesecake (so-so), the maple creme brulee (nice) and the toffee pecan dessert which was lush! I also had my favourite soft drink here - a pina colada slush, which was great.
After lunch we decided to head to DHS on the boat. This was a slow journey but we were able to see some of the other resorts en route. Once we got there, the parade was in full-swing. Olivia felt overwhelmed by the crowds and felt ill. We decided that it would be silly to stop there, so we headed back to Epcot and jumped in the car and headed home.
Once back, the kids begged to go back to the pool, so we spent the rest of the day chilling out and had an early night.
