Just saw B&TB...

Huh? I like it!! We never miss B&TB... Me and my daughter love Gaston's actor - very funny!

We went again Monday night and it was perhaps the best performance I've ever seen. They had a Belle I had not seen before and she was really sassy, with ad libbed movements and facial expressions and Gaston was way over the top! He hammed it up like I've never seen. We enjoyed it completely.

I was there Monday also, and saw a fantastic show. I don't know if it was the normal actors or not, but whom ever they were, they were great!

I keep thinking that I know that Belle actress from somewhere else...

Actually Tangled did quite well at the box office. Also did well with merchandise

Tangled took in just 200 million domestically.. and 590 million globally on a budget of 290 million.. That's no blockbuster. (Box Office Mojo #'s) In fact, failure to make the movie's budget back at US box office is considered .. *generally speaking* to be bad.

Aladdin ONLY took in 504 million... on a budget of 28 million.

And I liked Tangled, I watched Tangled, Tangled was fun. Cute even.

Butttt,... Tangled was no Aladdin. It just wasn't.

And despite having seen the movie three times, I couldn't name one of the songs. Or hum it.

I get it.. for some kids, Tangled will be those early 90 movies, but I don't feel it worthy of an attraction. We'll see I guess. Maybe I'll love it on stage.

Like you, I liked Tangled too...But ther is a huge difference between "liked" and a classic.

She's got a DREAM (She's got a DREAM) to see the Golden Lanterns Gleam! DREAM!

I love that song!

In fact, when I stepped out of our stateroom on our September cruise they were playing this song throughout the ship and it really made my day! I hummed the song all day long!

BUT - on the other hand, my wife and I will just be driving along and burst into a chorus of Be Our Guest! :rotfl2:

So, to be fair - the music from Tangled was good - BUT Beauty and the Beast was one of the best soundtracks ever!
