Candy in Checked Bags

We were thinking of bringing boxes of candy (like movie candy) as part of our FE gifts and was wondering if it's allowed to be in your checked luggage? There will be quite a few boxes so I wasn't sure.

Yes. We do it all the time. And, in most cases, we don't eat it all. We generally wind up either leaving it for the room host, or bringing it back home.

You are allowed to bring pre-packaged foods onboard - either in your carry-on or checked baggage. Just no home-cooked items.

Enjoy your cruise!

As above, it is totally permitted. However, it cannot be in a box that you ship to the port in advance.

Well its allowed but when are you going? Remember that your bags will be subjected to the harsh weather conditions and if you pack anything with chocolate it could be melted.

The bags sit in large luggage containers which are outside at the port before being loaded onto the boat. There is also the fact that luggage sits outside on the luggage cart at the airport before its loaded.

As long as you don't pack chocolate you should be fine.

Be bought chocolate from the uk as part of our FE gifts last cruise and it was in our checked baggage for a 10 hour flight our WDW stay and on to the cruise. It was fine, no signs it had even softened at all. If uncertain, pop in a zip loc bag.

I travel with chocolate all the time, many times to tropical countries without problem. Just make sure it is packaged properly - I usually have it in whatever package it comes in. It's somewhat insulated inside your bag. One time I got snail mailed a box of fresh chocolates from across the world (I think it travelled about a month or so) and it was just bubble wrapped for some extra insulation. It arrived just fine. Heck, I've transported cheese in my bags.
