I'm not sure if this thread has been started yet but has anyone eaten at Be Our Guest for the CS meal. If so how was it and were the crowds bad?

Plenty of posts if you do a search

The general consensus seems to be that lunch is the better of the two options.

Last week, they opened for lunch around 10:30am. People were lining up around 9:15 on some days. Line moved quickly. My friends waited about 30 minutes in line. Be sure and get in line before 2pm, as they stop serving around 2:45pm. Beautiful place!

too many posts about BOG if you go to search, lunch was delicious. Stayed in line for about 20 minutes but worth it especially when my husband ran to get us fp for the mermaid ride and we got on it in 5 seconds instead of the 100 minuted wait

I ate lunch there twice last week and it was fantastic. I waited 30 minutes one day and 45 on another. The food was great, service was great, and the atmosphere can't be beat. There were always open tables in each of the dining rooms too, so no worries there. I loved how they brought your food to you, but you were free to manage your drinks and refills. It is a very efficient system, and my food always came out quickly and was warm.

I had the braised pork (excellent and more like a dinner than lunch - very filling) and the vegetable quiche. The quiche came with a small side salad of greens and it was very good with a flaky crust.

I tasted each of the three cupcakes. All were excellent and flavorful. Some cupcakes look so beautiful but don't have much taste, but these were beautiful and tasted yummy. My favorite was the strawberry one, but if you are a chocolate lover you will love the chocolate one! And they aren't too big so you don't have to feel guilty about having dessert.

I would highly recommend lunch there. The wait in line was worth it to me.

Awesome this sounds like a winner for our first counter service meal during our trip in a month. Thanks for the feedback.

It was wonderful!!!! DH, who didn't want to wait in what appeared to be a long line to eat there, now says it is the best CS in all of WDW and well worth waiting for. The place is gorgeous and the food is great!

We were there December 2, at about 12:20 p.m. and waited in line about 15 minutes. If the line looks long, be sure and ask the CMs there how long the wait actually is. It looked like about an hour line to us, as it stretched from the restaurant all the way back to the main path of the new Fantasyland. DH would have just walked off, but I asked the CM and she said it was only about 20 minutes, and it turned out to be a little shorter than that.

We have dinner reservations at BOG on our Feb trip. We actually booked the last opening. We would have preferred lunch, but I'll take what I can get. Can we still order from the lunch menu?

What are the choices for children? Young kids like 8 and 4. Just wondering if there is something other than chicken nuggets.

Yes, lots of threads about BOG ;)

We were there the two weeks after Thanksgiving (before grand opening) and ate there for lunch twice. The braised pork was delicious! Yummy!!

The lines were not long at all (until after grand opening). We waited about 30min. from end of line to receiving our food. The next time we nearly did a walk in - the line was off the bridge near the castle door, so was about 15min. from there by the time we received our food.

We loved our lunches so much that we cancelled our dinner ressie we had (after going through so much to get it LOL). We were able to sit where we wanted, walk around all we cared to, and take pictures wherever we wanted.

The ambiance is outstanding - what more can I say - we just simply loved it and will be going back on our next trip in April. :)

Ate lunch there on Monday 12/10. It was about a 25 minute wait but well worth it! My DIL had the quinoa salad and I had the ham and cheese sandwich. We both had French Onion soup. We both thought the food was great. There were tables available in all three rooms. We ate in the West Wing with the changing portrait. The theming is excellent.

Both my DIL and I can't wait to take the grandkids! We know even the boys will get a big kick out of the theming.

This time in two weeks I will be eating there! Ahh! And ill definitely be eating there for CS at some point during my trip! So excited! I've heard good things!

Still trying for a cancellation for Dinner for my trip from tomorrow through next Saturday.

I'll be sure to check out the lunch time CS either way.

Ok. If the wait times during the "slow" days are 30 minutes, what are they going to be like when the busy days come along?

The line moves a lot faster than you would expect. From the end of the bridge it's 20-30 minutes. The steak sandwich was okay to bad. The croque-monsieur was awful.

But... if the line is to the end of the bridge on "slow" days, won't the line be longer on "busy" days? We'll be there for Spring Break, so I'm trying to get some expectation on the wait-times we might expect. I'll be watching for reports from Christmas week.
