I have read lots of reviews on here for lunch but not many for dinner. I am considering cancelling our reservation for dinner and doing lunch instead because of the way they serve lunch, sounds great and my girls will still get the experience of eating there.

Anyone have any reviews for dinner??

I was in the same boat as you, but I realized that with BOG reservations for dinner being as hard to get as they are ... if i cancelled mine, there would be no going back.

So we are going to do dinner one night and lunch another.

We had dinner there and greatly enjoyed it. Sat in the grand ballroom and had a wonderful waitress who seemed like she couldn't wait to recommend things to us, including wine choices. The wine recommendation was very good and the Chimay beer was very good :thumbsup2

We had the salad which was very good, light dressing, and the french onion soup. The soup was good, good cheese but it is vegetarian so the broth will not be as rich as the soup elsewhere such as Chefs de France. I had the salmon which was well cooked and the potatoes and leeks were wonderful. My mom had the steak, cooked medium, very flavorful and the french fries with truffle mayonnaise were addictive :goodvibes We had the lemon and chocolate cream puffs. The chocolate was very good, but I preferred the lemon which had a stronger flavor. The puff part was very soft and good. Our server was attentive, came by often but said that there was no rush.

If your reservation is for 2 on January 30th then I heard the dinner is horrible cancel right now...this minute (and then PM only me to tell me you cancelled it)!! Just Kidding Of Course - LOL!!

I read good reviews about dinner and I would think that it would be more relaxing to sit and enjoy dinner than doing a QS lunch in the middle of the day. Not that I wouldn't enjoy lunch but if I had a dinner ADR I'd keep it!!!

I have to wait until April for my reservations but am really looking forward to eating there :dance3:

We loved both our dinner and our lunch but the food choices at dinner were more to our liking.

We had dinner there in November. The food was good (although they need to expand the "adult" menu if they expect an 11 year old (who is considered and adult) to eat there and not order the steak). I had the steak (nice size cooked appropriately-medium rare, good steak not the best I have eaten but solidly good), and the onion soup (soup Delicious) My 9 year old had switched dishes with the 11 year old and ordered the kid Macaroni the 9 year old ordered the adult dish- had the Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops (which she ate just the shrimp and the scallops, rest was too rich, more of an adult taste).
My husband had the Salmon which he said was good, but a bit on the small size. The bread was great.
The service wasn't so good. After we ordered our drinks we didn't see our server again until the dessert. We were going to order extra soup but never got the chance.

The ambiance was incredible!! We sat in the main ballroom right by the window...best themed restaurant in Disney (IMHO), you really felt like you were in a castle ballroom that was snowing outside.

also after dinner the girls got to meet the beast which was a bonus...

Have no reviews for dinner, but just ate twice there in 10 days for the lunch. The braised port was seasoned nicely and was delicious.

We actually did have ressies for dinner the next day after we were able to get in for lunch, but after the great meal we had for lunch, taking in all the incredible ambiance of all the rooms, taking lots of pictures, we decided the dinner would not benefit us. We cancelled right there. We then went back for lunch before our trip ended, and with minimal wait had the lunch again.

We loved it and will go back again on our next trip in April. :thumbsup2

That was our impression, Love both lunch and dinner but if I had to choose between the two....dinner was my choice.

Thanks so much for these reviews! Booked the
Minute I could bc I HAD to see this restaurant. Looking forward to early dinner and Dessert
Party for my "real dinner" ;)

Dinner for 7 Thanksgiving week, a very nice dinner, the decor is beautiful and the food, quite good!

Starters, 4 French Onion Soups, 1 leek, all very good and flavorful. We had the salad trios, preferred the green beans/shallots. We had 2 shrimp/scallops (good but not as good as I imagined or could make myself). 2 steak dinners (medium rare), both raved about their meal. My son had the thyme scented pork which was much improved by the request of a bit of extra sauce. Our the young ones had the children's steak (med) w/ plain buttered pasta, must have been good, they devoured their food. The wine was excellent, the atmosphere fantastic and the service, can't complain! next time I would get the steak or the pork!

Dessert, the girls both had chocolate cupcakes!

I would love to try lunch next time for the braised pork dish, it sounds very tasty!

As far as what's available to children of various ages, their offerings for children & adults are a choice of a fish/shellfish, a poultry, a beef, a pork, a vegetarian and a pasta. It's the food we've eaten as children and adults at home and away, I applaud BOB, no sign of funky pressed chicken parts coated in greasy breadcrumbs or boboli crust filled with ketchup and rubber cheese!

I'm hoping to have dinner here for my birthday in september 2013.

We were a party of 8 on 11/19, had an incredible dinner at BOG.

I think the only appetizers anyone got were the french onion soups, which were quite good. The bread was good and our waitress was very attentive and responsive.

I had the steak and fries and thought it was one of the best I have ever had at Disney. Most of our party that didn't get the steak got the shrimp/scallops dish and also loved them.

For the kids they let my DS8 order the grilled chicken breast and substitute fries for the pasta side so it was a pretty kid friendly (bland) meal, but he enjoyed it.

Everyone enjoyed the dessert cart and their cupcakes.

I don't know if it is lit any better at lunch time, but the ballroom was pretty dark, the waitress loaned us flashlights to read the menus (literally), bu the ambiance and theming were just magical.

I'll echo what others have said...

We ate there last Saturday night. We skipped appetizers to leave room for dessert.

Service was fine. The waiter was very nice, but it took him a long time to make it over to our table initially. However, once he was there, he did a great job.

I ordered the steak. It was as good as any Disney steak I have had. Being a similar cut, I thought it was comparable to Le Cellier (and probably better than the last steak or two I had there). The pomme frites were fine. Very similar to the fries at The Plaza. Overall, as Disney goes, I thought it was very good.

My wife ordered the salmon. She likes salmon well done. She ordered it that way. The waiter said that they usually cook salmon medium or medium well. She asked for medium well. Well, it wasn't. The center was still pretty red. She ate around the outsides and was full by the time the underdone part was left, so she didn't make a big deal of it.

She got the chocolate cream puff and I got the chocolate cupcake for dessert. We both agreed that the cupcake was WAY better than the cream puff. We also were brought the Grey Stuff, which, as has been mentioned before, is a very small scoop of cookies and cream mousse. (To make up for the salmon issue, we weren't charged for dessert.)

Overall, I thought it was very good. We will definitely be back in February to try lunch and then for dinner the next time we can get in!

We ate there on Sunday for dinner and it was delicous! DH had the french onion soup and it was very good. I tried to it too and like how the broth was a little lighter. DD2 also really liked the soup! DH and I both had the steak, medium. Delicious. Loved the truffle salt/oil on the fries. It was a nice touch and not overbearing. DD2 got the macaroni with marinara and cheese. It came with broccoli and she ate most of it. For dessert we got the triple chocolate cupcake, the chocolate mousse cream puff and DD2 got the strawberry cream cheese cupcake. DH liked DD2's cupcake the best and ate most of it lol. We also got "the grey stuff" as it was DD2's birthday. Yummy! Can't wait to go back!
